Why did you pick this product vs others?:Love this. Definitely not rust-proof, but that's an easy fix if it does get rusty (vinegar). I always wash it by hand. Was VERY sharp right out of the box, and has stayed pretty sharp for the year or so I've had it. If I had to buy again, I might buy the version with the little divots on the side to keep veggies from sticking to it. I don't expect to need another, though, because this is extremely well-built (at least from what I can tell). I use it for pretty much everything except cutting bones and ice.Also like damascus steel is pretty but that's just a bonus

I love this knife. It keeps a sharp edge with just a minimal effort. It’s the perfect size and shape for dinner prep. I have other good knives, but I nearly always reach for this one. I have sent two of them as gifts! Recently Tuo has added other kinds of knives that match this style. I sent one of them as a gift too! I have a Japanese paring knife that I received as a gift, but I usually use the Tuo paring knife that matches this one. Very practical and beautiful knives! At good prices too!

They need a proper sharpening. After that it’s awesome. Clean after use… don’t throw it in the sink for tomorrow.

First off, what you see, is not what you might get, in spite of the fact that I really do like this knife. And I have already used it in food prep, and so on, after having sharpened it a bit and used it a bit, it is just fine. The part where I say what you might see that has to do with the appearance, the look of this knife, I really hoped to have gotten a knife with the specs that they presented that would look like the knife in the pictures. However, the pictures are better than what I see than the reality of the knife that I received. The knife works very well, it cuts appropriately. I like it a lot. And it is very presentable. However, it is not what the pictures, in my humble opinion, depict. I thought you would like to know that.

This knife is really great, but it is so sharp that it can cut your hand, so always be careful.

I have the 10-inch version of this TUO Chef Knife at home, and I love it so much that I purchased the 8-inch version for our small travel trailer.The knife is super-sturdy and weighted very well. The handle is comfortable and attractive. Cutting motion is good. There's nothing *not* to like about this knife!I always hand-wash and towel-dry my TUO knives to maintain the lustre of the blade and the integrity of the handle.TUO knives come in lovely boxes. I have gifted their knives to friends, and they also love them!

Everyone needs a sharp knife so this is the second one I’ve purchased as a gift
