The Wrist Rite is Alright
Although I am not a golfer, I ordered the Wrist Rite, Golf Swing Training Aid because my wife asked for help finding an inexpensive gift to give to her golfer friend. She wanted something simple, small, and useful but easy to use, so the Wrist Rite seemed to fit the bill. Plus, it was an unusual item from Canada that the lady was unlikely to have already. The Wrist Rite was shipped and delivered promptly, and true to the picture on Amazon, it was very simple. The thing just looked like a large shoe horn made of plastic about 1/8 inch thick. When Ms. Golfer dropped by for coffee about a week later, I happened to be around. She plays a couple times a week or more depending on the weather, so I asked her about the Wrist Rite. She went to the trunk of her car and got it out of her golf bag. Of course, it was in the packaging when it arrived from Amazon, so I could not really check it out at that time. I was surprised that the tool is pretty stiff and strong. You can bend it, but it is that kind of tough plastic that is not going to crack or break for a long time. It is smooth and a bit flexible, and the lady said it was comfortable enough. She is a pretty small woman, so she used the small end of the Wrist Rite inside the back of her glove and apparently it fit nicely against her wrist and hand with no problem. The ends are turned up a little on the edges, so they did not dig in anywhere.Ms. Golfer said she was really amazed what a difference that a simple thing like this could make in her swing and her game. She had always felt that her wrists were pretty weak anyway, and just having the Wrist Rite for support gave her a feeling of confidence and more overall arm and grip strength. It kind of sounded unbelievable to me, but she said that her swing felt totally different with the Wrist Rite in her glove, and she got more accuracy and control already in one game. Also, when they saw how she was hitting, the friends she was golfing with all wanted to try it for a couple of shots. This is one of the nice things about the tool - it is so simple, with no straps, or Velcro, or adjustments to be done. It is very easy to switch it around, take it on or off, let friends try it or whatever. It is not some big, bulky ugly thing like a medical device the way a lot of golf wrist braces are, and I think female golfers especially like that aspect of it.I would say the Wrist Rite is a great way for a golfer to get some quick and easy wrist support going on. I know it met the approval of one pretty picky female golfer, and got me in good with my wife. I think this tool is worth a try for any golfer, and it is a good choice if you want to give a golf gift but do not know that much about the sport.
