It has a rudimentary guide which might work, depends how accurate you want it to be. The basic problem with any hot wire style cutter is that the longer it stays in one place the more the polystyrene melts. The trick to getting a good accurate cut is consistency of feed otherwise you can see striations where the feed changed speed. In the past I've made wooden jigs to hold the cutter (or a hot wire) to do stuff like that.
