When I ordered it, it arrived several days early, and in pristine condition. The album was sealed inside an envelope lined with bubble wrap as well as the usual shrink wrap. It is constructed of a sturdy paper material, and it looks very cool. The CD is easy to pull out if one is careful, but if any dust or dirt got inside of the case, it is likely that the CD would get some minor scratches. The album also includes a small poster of John Newman that you can post on your wall, if your that big a fan. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it to anyone who likes this sort of music. The first track names all the soul and Motown artists who have influenced him and he really deserves to be "up there" with the best of them. His voice is amazing, the songs are totally different to anything else coming out today and he really seems to have a depth of musical knowledge and experience way beyond his years. The album is one of very few that I put on and listen to all the way through. John Newman is the real thing. No "manufactured" flash in the pan.
