I bought these to replace a set of similar skate-wheel casters on my high-back office chair. Those old ones were fine, but my cats like to hop up on the back of the chair to look out the window when I'm not around, and their momentum would cause the chair to roll away, preventing them from enjoying the view and breeze. These replacement casters have a simple and very secure locking mechanism on each of the five units, which along with the high-friction polymer wheels make my chair stay put even when the cats rocket into the room and hop on at full speed... all while being easy to unlock whenever I choose.

Makes it quieter for my downstairs neighbor. Smooth ride. Less squeaky floors. I like being able to lock the wheels, but unlike others I haven't hurt my heels on locks. Lucky? I don't know. I have had the wheels for a while. Nary a knick.

GREAT FOR CARPET, TERRIBLE FOR FEET. After two years, I have lost count of how many times I have hurt my feet or toes on the locking levers of these wheels! ;n; It definitely doesn't help that my chair is something I have to move around often. The functionality of the wheels is great, the locks are still solid after a long time of use and the wheels don't slide when locked and roll very well on carpet. Just beware the locking levers, they will probably not be a huge issue if you have more room than I do though :P

Ditch the regular wheels for desk chairs for casters, so smooth.

This review is from Stuart Nezin, not Lynn. Just got these for a new chair. Easy to install, look and roll great and locks work well. No problem unlocking for me, just flip the lever up. My only issue was the shipper, Lasership, and that's on Amazon. Lasership has messed up EVERY delivery they ever made to me, every one. They are either lazy, stupid or both. I live in a small apartment building in an urban area only EIGHT apartments and clearly labeled intercom buttons which Lasership couldn't be bothered to press, instead leaving my package on the street. And this is the second time in a week. I would pay to use an alternative or just wait longer for USPS, especially since it too them over SEVEN hours to deliver from their center about three miles away. PLEASE Amazon, no more Lasership!

Great quality wheels, highly recommended

They are as advertised. If you are short and using a larger size chair matching the wheel size can mean the difference between too tall, a dragging center post, or just right. Only negative is the breaks are a little stiff for my spouse to use easily post hemi-paralysis.

Rolls and fits as advertised. Very happy with quality. Where it falls down are the lock levers. They are an injection molded (I think fiber glassed reinforced), seems very sturdy. The corners and flashing are really sharp and hits right on the back of the ankles. Took them to the sander and it improved significantly.

La verdad es que quede fascinado, cuando pensé que lo ruidoso de mi silla gamer era el asiento, resultaron ser las llantas, no maltratan nada el suelo, se ven muy bien, encajan a la perfeccion, los frenos en cada una son super útiles y no considero que sean nada caras, quede muy sorprendido de la buena calidad de las mismas

I knew my WFH chair was good but I was not getting the best out of it. Why? Because every time I tried to lean back and improve on my posture trying to relax a bit, I would move it back, instead.Replacing the standard casters with these, not only made my chair significantly more silent and smooth when moving, but finally allowed me to control when I want it to move OR NOT!Definitely recommended for any office chair!
