We have a 14-month-old Labrador retriever puppy and he’s 75 pounds. Even though he eats a very high quality grain free diet and grain free crunchy treats and he chews on cow ears and bully sticks every night, we want to be proactive and keep his teeth tarter free so he will not ever need a dental cleaning. Because Frankie is a 75-pound puppy he is still very mouthy and need a longer toothbrush to keep my fingers away from his sharp teeth.This Ebazony toothbrush set comes with 2 dual-sided 8.5” toothbrushes. One side is larger for bigger dogs and the other side is much smaller for small breed dogs.I do use a pet friendly gel toothpaste that is peppermint flavored on the toothbrush also along with brushing his teeth, although he bites the toothbrush more than I can actually brush his teeth at this time. This toothbrush had held up fair to a 75-pound puppy frequently biting on the plastic part of the toothbrush. I’ve used it about 5 times and the plastic is now damaged because he has been biting it trying to resist me brushing his teeth. I’m afraid that he will be able to bite through the brush part because he has damaged it so much. I threw the first one away and I am going to start using the second one. I don’t think this would be an issue if your dog is not a large dog who bites the toothbrush. The bristles are soft enough that I don’t need to worry about cutting or scratching his gums.As a buyer, I often rely on the reviews from other buyers when making my purchases so I will always give my honest, unbiased opinion. FUR KIDS hate these but human mom loves em!We recently had to give one of our dogs $$$ dental cleaning and realized that if we had only taken the time to brush his teeth regularly, it probably wouldn't have been necessary. So I have been looking into learning dental hygiene for pets and have discovered that it takes very little time or effort to keep an animal's teeth clean and bright! About seconds per day does the job and you can find scads of "how to" vids on YouTube to show you how. These toothbrushes are effective and inexpensive. The larger head on one end gets the main teeth while the smaller end gets into smaller spaces for a thorough job. The large end is a big triangular shape, while the small end is actually quite small so it pretty much covers whatever you need. My dogs are 25 lbs and 45 lbs, and this toothbrush is perfect for both. Overall, I like these, except there are a bit flexible and not as easy to control as ones that are thicker and heavier. In my research, found out that dog toothpaste is often full of ingredients that aren't the best for dogs to ingest. But I also found out that you can brush your dog's teeth with Extra Virgin Raw Coconut Oil. It is inexpensive, dogs love the taste, it is good for them if they swallow it, and it has antimicrobial properties that is good for their overall dental health. If you want to get fancy, you can make a paste by adding baking soda, but I don't bother with that. Coconut oil alone is the perfect toothpaste and if you want flavors, you can add essential oils like vanilla. Get the toothbrush, but skip the commercial toothpastes. P.S. I also found out that coconut oil makes great toothpaste for people, too! But that is another story.
