The pulley wheel is a little to loose inside the block. Rope or line has to be the exact size, or it will jump off the wheel an bind up. Rope type also is a big factor. It's works for my application

What I received is not what is pictured. Received dual pulleys as described, in a one piece "cast" cage. Tried to use a 1/4 inch rope omn the pulleys that I did receive, but the clearance between the side of each pulley and the cast holder (cage) allowed the rope to slide into the space beside the pulley and pinched the rope. Tried a 3/8 inch rope and it was to large. The pulleys may have been made for a metric rope of 8 millimeter, to allow them to stay in the pulley wheel.

this is NOT in any way a one ton Hoist, mayB 200# on a good day. who rates these anyhow?

Three of these were used to make a 'floating' flagpole for a Boy Scout event. They worked just fine. The price was right and they arrived quickly.

If I could give zero stars that rating wouldn't be low enough. These Pullies are complete garbage. The wheel play and small rope guides ensure that the line will jump the wheel and bind-- every time. The rough casting looks like someone's first attempt at smelting and seems fragile. But I wouldn't know because I am unable to lift anything as the line is bound up.Do not waste your time or money on Kayco 2pc 1-1/2 rope pulley.

I bought these to hoist a kayak. The kayak is well below the weight threshold but due to the pulleys not spinning smoothly or straight, the rope gets bound up. I would not buy again.

Needed a pulley system to lower a light fixture from a high ceiling. Most pulleys I found were physically too large; these are the right size and capacity to handle the light fixture. They appear well made and will do the job quite well.Thanks

They worked although I added another single block that made them work better.
