It works great.
It's really big and heavy but good to use. The handle is sturdy for the weight. I had another one, which I can't find right now which was some what smaller and perfect.

Very Satisfying Magnifying Glass
Very similar to magnifying glasses that I used with my dad about 60 years ago. The handle is a bit "skinnier" than those (which I liked a bit better). But the lens is the same size and works really well.

Great for yugioh cards text paragraphs
Good for yugioh cards for your glasses wearing friend named Roger. Very nice and classy, easy for an old timer (28 years old) to use without a problem.

1.8X not 3X
The claim of “3X magnification” is false. I measured the focal length (32.5 cm), which corresponds to about 3.1 diopters which is a magnification of 1.8X. An easy was to check this if you don’t want to go through the measurement and calculations is, with one eye closed, hold the lens in front of notebook paper with lines (see my photo). You will see that no matter where you hold the lens, the magnified spaces are never more than about 1.8X larger than without the lens. By the way, 1.8X magnification is great for general use such as reading fine print, but the seller should give the real number, not a fake number. [The formulas are: f = focal length in meters; D = diopters, Mag = magnification. f = 1/D; D = 1/f; Mag = (D x 0.25) + 1; Mag = ((1/f) x 0.25) + 1]
