This paper doll was inspired by Dido Elizabeth Belle (1761-1804), the daughter of Maria Belle, an enslaved African woman, and Sir John Lindsay, English nobility. Dido was raised by her father's family as a lady with her cousin Lady Elizabeth Murray. This paper doll, which stands approximately 8.5" tall, is based on a painting of Dido with her cousin. The 15 page paper doll book (8.5” X 11”) includes one paper doll with an attached stand, seven dresses, and an envelope to store the doll and her clothes. The paper used for the book is sturdy 110 lb. card stock. The paper doll and clothes are illustrated by Nova M. Edwards.

Not only did she enjoy the pretty Dido Elizabeth Belle Paper Doll by this ...
I bought this for my niece. Not only did she enjoy the pretty Dido Elizabeth Belle Paper Doll by this artist, her parents were equally impressed. This artist is very creative and presents history to the younger generation in such a beautiful manner. With the holdiday season approaching, I will order more paper dolls from this artist's collection.
