With inspiration taken from Filipino Martial Arts, namely Kali fighting systems, Hardcore Hardware Australia brings to you its first signature blade in the fighting arts genre, the Razorback CQC-01. Featuring a 6mm (0.236") thick, full tang, D2 tool steel blade, all contours are expertly hollow ground and sharpened. Engineered for slashing, thrusting and trapping, the reverse grip blade of the Razorback has a unique single sided, cutting edge designed to deliver devastating cutting power. This updated interpretation is ideal for close quarter combat. The overall effect of the blades up swept front cutting edge presents easily for slashing strokes, whilst the downward angle of the non-sharpened edge facilitates effective striking capability. The combination of live and non-live edges makes the Razorback extremely well suited for both offensive and defensive techniques and the large finger notch is devised to ensure a secure grip to increase weapon retention substantially. For blunt force, defensive striking and less than lethal applications, the Razorback has an extended glass break, strike/hammer pommel, with lanyard point. Ergonomic, textured G10 scales enhance feel for a superior grip; handling is aided by non-slip jimping in key points at both front and back. To reduce grip weight and optimize balance, the tang and handle scales have been skeletonized, the resultant cavity in the handle doubles as a hidden storage compartment for emergency items. Personalized mounting is critical for an instinctive and swift deployment. Therefore, the Razorback Kydex ambidextrous sheath comes with a Tek-Lok belt mounting system. This can be customized in vertical, horizontal or angled positions and is fully ambidextrous. The provision of eyelet holes along both sides of the blade carrier facilitates alternate attachment to the body or gear via para-cord or cable ties. A friction lock system fastens the Razorback securely.
