Outstanding customer service and amazing lights!
I had researched quite a bit before deciding to go with the Proxy lighting and I'm so glad I did. They are exactly as promised. I have seen other brands in person at friends houses and they always have appeared flimsy and cheap and that wasn't the look I was wanting for our deck. They arrived and we hung them up and when inserting the light bulbs only several of the 15 sockets lit up, leaving me to think something was dysfunctional within the sockets. We switched the working light bulbs into the non working sockets to see if we had a bunch of broken light bulbs on our hands. But that wasn't the case. I didn't want a refund if I could get the strand to work so I contacted the company via the email they sent as soon as I purchased the Proxy lighting. I also called and left a voicemail as I wasn't sure how often email was checked. This was all about 6p and by morning I had a returned email saying that my order was already being refunded from Amazon and a new strand was on its way for free and the owner would call me. The owner called me that same morning, the new strand was at my door by 1p the SAME day and low and behold that strand was seeming to have the same issue. After trying the same bulb in several sockets before getting one to light up I figured out that some of the thread on the light bulbs weren't matching up the same for each socket. Basically I needed to tighten some much more than others and bingo they all lit up like they were supposed to. Then with the "old" strand waiting it the box to be returned I opened it and tried the same technique as I had just done and embarrassingly enough for me, those also worked. So the company went beyond out of their way to fix something that wasn't broken and were more than happy to do it. This was all just days before the holiday. The owner also didn't make me feel bad about putting them through all of this when it turned out to be more of a user error than anything else. These lights are weatherproof so they needed to be that much tighter than any light sockets I've used, I was not wanting to crack a bulb so the outcome was the bulb wasn't connecting properly thus not turning on. I was so embarrassed for now having two fully functioning perfect light strands at my house with not having paid, since they refunded the original and sent the second for free. Even though I had thought the first was a dud, the owner was just elated that they were working and not broken as I had told them I needed them for a specific purpose just days from then and he didn't want to let me down. At the end of the conversation he told me to keep them both and gift one of the strands if I couldn't use it for myself. Best customer service experience I've ever had and I have worked in customer service in the past for years so I'm really picky on what "good" service means. I was more than willing to pay so that wasn't what sold me on what a wonderful company this is. It was the compassion, caring and being treated at a friend it was honestly UNREAL! I would give them 100 stars if I could but since the top rating is 5, they definitely get all of them.

Stop reading and buy them. You will be so glad you did!
I'm impressed! I have a back porch with one single light on a low hanging lamp that I always bump. Grrr. I bookmarked these a while back and decided to get them now. I measure out my deck and would need 50 feet for a full run. Well okay this run is 48 feet, I'll give it a go. They seemed a little expensive but I hope I would get my money's worth.Wow did I ever! The wiring is very thick. This stuff will withstand any rain or snow. They bulbs are very bright for their small size. They appear to be the sort of bulbs you do not want to touch with your hand so I held them in their bubble wrap in order to install them into the sockets. They company graciously sent an extra bulb too. They look awesome! My entire deck is lit up now except for the last two feet that I knew about, but I worked it so a porch light is in that spot. I am extremely happy and wish I had seen these ages ago.Now if I had to whine about anything, hmmm this is a tough one. Well the end of the run is another outlet and it is exposed. I put one of those outlet covers on it for child protection so that no weather or bugs would get in it. That's all I can think of, and I'm stretching it here. According to the directions I can add another run and I am tempted to do so.Wow for the first time the outside of he house looks nicer than the inside of the house! :>

They are very sturdy, attractive
This set was exactly what I was hoping for. They are very sturdy, attractive, and attached by zip ties to a guy wire, make my back yard look like an outdoor bistro in Paris. Okay, perhaps that is a bit of an exaggeration, but they do look very, very nice. Though I have not had them for long, I have every expectation that they will continue to look nice for many years. In case it might help anyone, I hung the guy wire first, attaching each end to a corner of the roof of my house with a small turnbuckle that, together, allowed me to remove slack from the wire. I attached roughly the middle of the wire to a sturdy tree (using a nylon dog leash I looped around it, pulling the buckle through the handle and clipping the wire into that), creating two sides of a triangle over the yard (the side of the house being the third side). Once the wire was up (very close to 50 ft. long) and fairly taut, it was a simple matter of attaching the light string to it using two zip ties on each small loop on the wire above every bulb. (One tie per bulb would have been fine, but they are cheap and why not err on the side of caution?) After the light string was up, I installed the bulbs, plugged it in using a standard outdoor extension cord (which matched the light string perfectly), and enjoyed the spectacle.

I love the look of these lights
I love the look of these lights! However, my experience with them has not been pleasant.I hung two strings connected to each other. They did well for awhile but after about 6 times of turning them on, the wiring blew on the first string. Now one bulb, out of two strings, works. It took me a lot of effort, with help, to hang them.....now nothing.UPDATE ***I felt like I knew the owner of the company. They gave me such great service once they knew I was dissatisfied. I like the fact that they quickly responded to my negative complaint, eager to find a resolution. After corresponding with them, I could tell that it was important to them that I was a satisfied customer. My lights were replaced within 48 hours of customer service contacting me.I am looking forward to hanging the replacement lights, and I am happy to have been met with such a delightful representative.Customer service doesn't get any better than this!I was so distraught but I am completely relieved to know that this company stands behind their products, 100%.You can tell the true character of a company by the way they handle adversity.I will do business with them again and again and recommend them to my family and friends.
