Naturally Anti-bacterial & Wicks Away Sweat Cork is an amazing material with a honeycomb cell structure that contains a waxy substance called suberin. Suberin naturally repels fungus and bacteria. The cork wicks sweat away from the feet, while the open-cell foam absorbs any vapor inside the shoe, preventing odor. We tracked the origins of our materials and found a manufacturer with integrity. About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words. Fresh. Style. Comfort. How did you come up with the idea for this product? We frequently wear our shoes without socks, and were getting frustrated with the excessive sweating, smelly feet and shoes that were literally falling apart. We researched the insole market, but the best insoles we could find were washable fabric inserts that absorb sweat like a sponge and required frequent washing. There were powders and sprays that eliminated odor, but required frequent use. Plus, none of these offered much in the way of arch support, so at the end of a day of walking around New York, our feet still ached. After understanding the problems first hand, we got to work and after months of testing different materials and prototyping designs, Honey Soles was born. What makes your product special? Honey Soles transforms your shoes to make them feel like a pair of flip-flops. It's a new standard for comfort. What has been the best part of your startup experience? Good idea, but not for wide shoes; have only minimal cushioning
There are many things to like about these insoles. The cork does feel good on the feet and does not produce hot spots. The heel and arch support are very nice. Yet I believe that improvements are needed in the following areas:1. The toe box area of Honey Soles is not nearly wide enough for my shoes, even though I ordered the size E: 9.5-11 for the size 10 mens shoes (Jambu Fairfax). When the shoes are narrow, one can trim the excess, but when the shoes have a roomy toe box, the Honey Soles do not span the full length across. For example, Fairfax sandals in Men's size 10 are 4 inches wide in the toe box, while Honey Soles are only 3.75 inches wide; a big difference!2. Honey Soles have minimal cushioning. If your old insoles provided significant cushioning, you will not want to replace them with the Honey Soles. This is the case with my shoes, and so I am trying to use the Honey Soles on top of the old insoles, which is not particularly great, as this makes the shoes more tight.Overall, I like the idea of these insoles, and hope that the next iteration will offer a wider version with more cushioning in the heel and in the toe box area.

Great insoles
I used these in a pair of Tod's driving shoes that were a little loose. I left in the original insoles and now they're a little snug but comfortable. These make bare feet feel awesome. They somehow keep feet feeling dryer and cooler. They're pricey but they'll extend the life of expensive sockless shoes and feel fantastic. Check them out.

Honey Soles are ok but can stick to sweaty feet
Kudos to Honey Soles for making replacement soles that let me go sock free.EDIT: Unfortunately when feet are sweaty, the cork gets tacky and can stick to toes when removing my shoes. It's worsened as they've gotten older, as the sweat tackiness has too often caused the tips of the soles to be pulled away from the shoe when I remove my feet. I have to use fingers to stuff the tip of the sole back in the shoe.Incidentally, I discovered the 'Un-Structured' line of shoes (made by a company name that begins with 'C') with the most awesome removable soles. No smell and they don't get tacky when your feet sweat. I have a handful of pairs and although the original pair is ready to be thrown out, the soles are still usable. The line is still available.. but of course you must buy the shoes with them.

Being older I really appreciate comfort. I put inserts in Birkenstock sandles doubling the comfort level and bringing new life to sandles which have the same cork soft bed support. (See photo) Happy with purchase.

For hippies and hipsters alike
I thought it would get destroyed in a month, based on other's reviews, but it hasn't. Not that I do that much walking, but it saved my old shoes, whose soles were already destroyed. It took some time for them to settle in, like maybe a week, but afterwards it was like wearing new shoes. Very comfortable on your bear feet and eliminates most if any of the smell.

Didn't last long
I bought these for my husband who deals with RLS and spends most of his day on his feet. He really liked them at first and even wanted to buy a second pair, but while he waited for his size to be in stock for a few weeks he noted that the area under the balls of his feet and toes began to wear out and lost its support. He still wears them in his house shoes that he only wears occasionally, but we were really disappointed they didn't work out for his every day shoes.

I spend a lot of money trying to find the perfect set of insoles.I'm glad I found these. The Investment is worth it. These soles turn any pair of shoes into ones I can wear all day. FINALLY!!note: This review is WITH socks. I have not worn these insoles without socks on a habitual basis.

Perfect for Sperry Topsiders
These are great. I have them in my Sperry Topsiders and they make sockless wear MUCH more comfortable. And I am a guy who has never been comfortable wearing any kind of shoes without socks.

Needs more cork top layer to have effects that are advertised
Excellent replacement soles for used/old and restored boat shoes. Do my shoes smell less? Not really. Do I notice the moisture wicking? No. Does it mold to my feet?
