Awesome distiller
I am a water fanatic and wanted a GOOD distiller. I am tired of lugging bottles of water around. Lol. After reading a ton of reviews I realized one main issue was the distiller processing the cycle to the very end including the “crud” in the bottom of the reservoir. This distiller shuts off automatically before that happens. I also wanted a quality product that will last rather than a distiller I have to keep replacing. This distiller does not disappoint. I want to mention that when we got it the filters were missing. I called the company and within a couple days they arrived. That was a great sign to me! Good customer service! Love the purchase and no looking back.

This will break down on you
Used this infrequently when first purchased, then after a year and a half started using it every day. One year later it stopped working. Brought it to a repair shop and they tried but was impossible to fix. I feel strongly that, especially for the price ($400 plus tax) this machine should have lasted 5 years minimum. Very disappointed.

WATERLOVERS - best water distiller and customer support
I bought waterlovers in January 2022 and like it very much. The distilled water was used for many things such as the humidifier, cooking and drinking. I add some minerals and the natural bitter taste of distilled water went away. Waterlovers is so easy to clean and used. When it broke within a year, H2O Labs covers it and quickly replaces the defective one with a new one. Hoping to get another one as a gift.

DEFECTIVE FROM THE START
I bought this macine because of the looks and convenience, I like the design, but the machine is a piece of junk. From the time it was new, the machine randomly stops working and beeps 3 times, just like it does when it finishes a cycle. I always keep it clean and use it correctly, but there's not settings on it, all you can do is unlug it from the wall and after you plug it back, just press the button to start, but randomly it might work for 10 minutes or 1 hour and then just stop. It's so frustating, after spending a LOT of money for it, now I have to buy another distiller. The manufacturer didn't do anything about it, so do your research, A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME ISSUE, LOOK IT UP onlin, peole having issues with the machine stopping randmly and then beeping. It's a piece of junk.

Good quality distilled water...
I was trained as a chemist in college and as a lab and research assistant we produced high volumes of both distilled and deionized water for lab use. When I got a notice from my city that the town water had a high level of manganese I decided to start distilling water for drinking and cooking. I wanted to start slow with a unit that would not require major changes to my countertops or plumbing. I have been through about 20 cycles of making distilled water with this device. It does a good job in terms of distilled water quality both in terms of taste and being able to use it in devices that require distilled water. The major downside is that it takes a fairly long time (2 hrs 40 minutes) to produce less than a gallon of water. I run it nightly during off peak electricity hours. Another downside for some people is the noise level. There is a fairly loud fan that is required to cool the distillation coil that runs the entire time. If you have to be in the same room with the device this noise may be a distraction. After every run, the heated water tank needs to be wiped clean. No soap or scrubbing is required. There are about 200 ml residual and I poured that into a glass for the photo above. This illustrates precipitated salts that were dissolved in the greater volume. Although I have not had it analyzed it is likely calcium, magnesium, and manganese. There is a slight build up of these salts in the tank over time and it comes with citric acid to clean away those deposits as needed. This unit is very durable and easy to use. Cleaning may take 5 minutes and start up just requires filling the tank and that is about 1 minute. I am impressed with the quality of water this device produces. I would buy it again or buy it if you like to experiment like I do. Based on what I now know - I would consider purchasing a much larger water distilling device. There are two concerns that people have about distilled water that are really not true. The first is that the taste is "flat". I have had people tell me that is because there are no minerals or the oxygen in the water is low. This water is tasteless and refreshing - the way water is supposed to be. The second concern is that minerals in the water are necessary for health reasons. Minerals necessary for health are generally obtained from a healthy diet rather than water. There is also a charcoal filter that the distillate passes through that is supposed to trap any volatile organic compounds. I can't comment on that effect since I am using it primarily to remove inorganic salts.Updated 5/15/2024: I have been using this distiller 2/3 of the time since I purchased it and maintaining it according to the recommendations. Unfortunately it became unusable over the past two weeks. It seemed to be leaking water, but closer analysis showed that the problem was probably a leak in the distillation coil as evidenced by water vapor collecting outside the top of the unit and about 250-500 ml not collected as distillate. It does not appear to be serviceable and I have been unable to get in contact with the company. At this point I will probably scrap it and try to find a larger unit made by a company that has been around for a while.

This is the one!!!!
I did my research read lots of reviews from reverse osmosis to the Berkey and lots of distillers (all had issues)this one was more expensive for a distiller but I liked the reviews and got it! It’s been about 3 months and I use it just about every day. Lately I’ve boiled the water 1st to cut down the time. It looks great in my kitchen too which is definitely a plus for me putting another appliance on my counter to is a serious decision for me!

Poorly Constructed
I’ve been using this product since December 2022 daily. After only a year and half of use a portion of the plastic tank that connects to the metal interior has broken May 2024- see picture. It was not dropped nor mishandled. It seems to be a fault in the manufacture and design of this machine. For a 300+$ product, this should not happen. I have emailed the manufacturer many times this past week to purchase a replacement for the tank but have gotten no response. Very poor customer service. So I just purchased a Nutriteam distiller which my friend has been using for many years and which distills a gallon at a time (this mode of waterlovers makes 3 liters) and costs 100+$ cheaper than the Waterlovers MKII which I purchased. Buyer beware.

It is everything I expected
I bought it to create distilled water for both my humidifier and my CPAP machine and on occasion for drinking( although I own a water ionizer for that purpose.). Does a great job and saves me from lugging bottles of water home from the market. No plastic to recycle or take to the recycle center. Read and follow the directions and you won't go wrong.\
