Locking Luggage Strap By Samsonite --With Search Indicator, Inspected by TSA

This was purchased as a way to allow easy inspection of the suitcase and as an 'insurance' policy against the bag coming open. It works quite well for those purposes, but I am not at all sure how 'secure' it is. I guess it is as secure as the inexpensive locks found on most suitcases today though.The indicator does not automatically reset when the lock is opened. I found this out when our suitcase was inspected on the first leg of a trip and I thought the second leg too...until I noticed that you had to actually manually reset the indicator after you open the lock. Other than that, it seems to hold the suitcase closed, but would take about 3 seconds to defeat for someone wishing to defeat it. That said, a normal locked suitcase would also only take about 3 seconds to defeat, so at least it is convenient in that you only have 1 lock to mess with.It is inexpensive, and seems to work, so 4 stars.

I have all my travelling items from samsonite, so i ordered a strap by samsonitewhich i quite like on the picture. I received instead a strap by master lock . plastic seems to be quite poor quality , but what upset me more is the fact i can't return the item ( which is completely wrong ), because it has been personalized , without my autorization.
