静かな印象。
大ヒットシングル"Shining Star"後のアルバム。クールというか、全体的におとなしめの曲が目立ちます。以前、鷲巣功さんが「この時期のジェラルドは喉を痛めていたのではないか？」という事を書かれた記事を見ましたが、確かに、他のアルバムに比べるとボーカルのパワフルさが若干落ちる感じがします。手元にある国内盤「ミッドナイト・ドリーム」では、M-7"Deep Water"とM-8"Just Can't Seem to Get Next to You"の間に切れ目がなくメドレー形式だったのに対し、このExpanded Editionでは、7曲目がフェードアウトして終わった後に改めて8曲目が始まります。尚、裏ジャケ及び盤面に記されているボーナス・トラックは、順番が間違っています。
