I spent too much money popping strings then went to a cheap alternative after much study and thus I've been playing nonstop without any breaks and they sound Grrrreat as Tony the Tiger would say. I switched to the Ernie Ball Earthwood Medium Lights and they are ROCK SOLID. Money well spent, much cheaper, and they sound great in the DAW. I can't say Elixir is better, because these sound great and they are lasting way longer... I play 5 hours a day 7 days a week, and they are holding up like Alabama Roll Tide! :) God Bless. **Q: I was putting new strings on my martin 00028ec and the g string broke before i even got it tight enough to tune. is this common?** A: My first set one did the same thing. Don’t cut the strings until a day later these are very delicate after second tuning. They play so soft and have great sound. Very little string buzz or finger wear. **Q: Can I put these on an electric guitar?** A: These are acoustic guitar strings, so I don't recommend it. I've never tried to put acoustic strings on an electric.
