Both are good for beginners and with both it seems like you'll have to be a bit careful not to hit the ground because they are wood and will chip easily. I purchased a set of each brand so I can compare them, but both will probably acceptable. I do like that this set provides the Jugs balls, 2 indoor and 2 outdoor. These paddles were delivered in a timely manner.
