4.5 âlovinâ the bossmanâ stars
OMG, this was such a great read! Smart, funny, sexy and romantic with epic banter, heaps of chemistry and a whole lot of heart. Itâs fun with a nice amount of drama and feels, and I devoured it in one sitting. I loved it!Reese Annesley is on a first date which is boring her to death when she is ârescuedâ by Chase Parker â a brash, gorgeous stranger who overhears her complaining to her best friend on the phone and crashes in on her dinner with his date to make it a double and save her night. They slip into an easy ruse of playing ex-high school sweethearts, and have a blast while doing it.There are a few more accidental run ins after their first encounter â each one more flirtatious and banter-filled than the last, heightening their attraction to each other so that the sexual tension is sizzling. Which makes thing all kinds of awkward then Reese gets the marketing job of her dreams at the company that Chase owns and runs. Well, awkward for Reese, Chase sees it as an opportunity.âYou want the truth? ⊠Iâm attracted to you. Really attracted to you. Have been since the first time I saw you. Tried to be respectful, considering you were seeing someone. Done doing that. If you work here, Iâm going to try to get you into my bed.âOMG, this man is sensational! Sexy, confident, and charmingly arrogant, he doesnât hide his feelings from Reese. He wants her, and he takes every opportunity to let her know, and itâs freaking hilarious! The constant flirting and dirty talk is both super-hot and laugh-out-loud funny, and the banter is epic! Of course itâs made all the more intense by the fact that Reese wants him just as badly. But sheâs been burned by an office romance gone wrong before, and sheâs not keen to make the same mistakes again. But their attraction proves to be irresistible, and oh holy God itâs HOT!!! And itâs not just sex. Thereâs a true connection between them which is explored beautifully, and I could feel the true emotion as they effortlessly slipped into something meaningful.OMG, I love these characters! Reese is a great heroine â smart, sensible, wonderfully witty and instantly relatable, she's a great match for Chase's huge personality. The man is just perfection! He has that charming arrogance thing happening, heâs a dirty talker who is sexy as all hell, but heâs also funny and sensitive, a genuinely nice guy with a huge heart, and I just adored him! And together they are something very special. What I love most (apart from their insane chemistry) is the fact that they wear their hearts (and their libidos) on their sleeves. They donât hide the fact that theyâre attracted to each other or the true feelings that start to develop. Theyâre honest and open, and they get it all out there, asking when they arenât sure about something, talking when they have a problem, and sharing whatâs going on in their heads and their hearts, and itâs SO refreshing! There is some drama in the form of old pains from the past resurfacing, and though itâs heartbreaking, I thought it added a wonderful depth to the story. It shows a different side to both of the characters who are placed in an incredibly emotional situation, and itâs handled realistically, written in a way where I could feel everything that they were both feeling, and it gave the story a wonderful edge.I loved it! Absolutely freaking loved it. Itâs a great read with the perfect balance of humour, romance, sex and drama, and a swoontastic epilogue to finish it all off.4.5 stars.

Everyone needs a Chase Parker in their lives!
That cover is totally drool-worthy, am I right? Between that and the blurb, I knew I had to read Bossman. Iâm so glad I did! It ended up being a great story with lots of banter, angst, humor, and heat.Reese is a strong, independent New Yorker who is wading into the dating pool and not having much success. She has been burned in the past and it makes finding the right man difficult. Reeseâs professional life is also in flux, since she has just left her job after being passed over for a promotion.Chase is a cocky, funny, cute, and brilliant entrepreneur. After a life-altering experience left him reeling, heâs become quite the playboy with the ladies. His chance meeting with Reese is the beginning of a new start for him. Neither Reese nor Chase can forget the other, so when Reese mentions that she needs a new job, he is quick to offer helpâleading to Chase becoming Reeseâs âbossmanâ.I enjoyed Reese and Chaseâs relationship. Their banter is hilarious and steamy. Chase tries hard to get Reese into his bed and she just isnât having it. I thought her reasons were valid at first, but when the attraction is so strong, you can only fight it for so long. I understand that dating your bossâs boss is usually frowned upon, but maybe she fought it a little too much? I donât know for sure, but once they get together, itâs definitely hot. What starts off as a light and jovial story with great banter turns into a deeper and much sadder book by the end. Chase and Reese have to face their past in order to find their future and I thought this was addressed so well. Vi Keeland does such a great job with strong heroines and cocky alpha-males. Bossman definitely fits into that category and itâs a great read. I definitely recommend it!

5 DELICIOUSLY DIRTY STARS
5 CROWNSMy love affair with Vi Keeland began late one night as I stumbled upon Throb, and it has only been strengthened with each novel I have read by her. I can always count on good characters, an interesting plot, and excellent writing, and Bossman did not disappoint.I thoroughly enjoyed the main characters of this story, Chase and Reese. Our heroine is my favorite kind of leading lady. She knows what she is worth and isnât afraid to ask for it. She has ethics and morals and spends a good deal of the story resisting the hero to follow these rules she has set up for them. I also love that although she is afraid due to incidents from her past, she doesnât allow these past events to dictate her life in the present. She faces fear head on in relationships and life. The use of her relationship with her brother is an excellent literary tool used by Vi Keeland to develop Reeseâs characterization. We get character motivation, background information, characteristics, and skills used to have some dirty conversations in a room full of people. Reese is simply charming. Chase is my favorite kind of hero. He is the perfect mix of cocky arrogance and sweetness, resulting in major charisma. I love the way he interacts with his employees, showcasing that while he is cocky about his personal life or looks, he respects others. He deeply cares for the people he loves as well, which is shown with his reaction to particular events in the story. Once you become a part of this manâs inner circle, he is protective and caring, all the best attributes in a hero. Finally, I love his dialogue. The confidence in his ârelationshipâ with Reese is fantastic. His ability to weave tales is entertaining and will have the reader laughing. Plus, he is hot, physically and linguistically. Really, what is better? The plot of Bossman I found to be incredibly engaging. Yes, this is an office romance, so it does follow the typical trope. The author, however, uses the past of the characters to create the conflict in the story, which allows the reader to get an office-romance with a unique twist. It completely fits with the characters, considering their past and how it has shaped who they are as people. The resolution of the story just solidified how much I love these two as a couple.Vi Keeland has never disappointed, and Bossman has only helped to solidify my love of her writing and that this author is an automatic one-click author for me. If her name is on it, I will be buying it.

So good
I have already read some books of Vi Keeland and everytime I fall for the writing: she has a way to make the characters interact. In this one, the banter between Reese and Chase is just so funny. Thanks again for a book I start and could not stop reading until the end. This one is a new addition of my go-to books when not feeling good.

This book was FANTASTIC.I haven't felt this giddy and giggle over a fictional man in long time. The banter was chef's kissđ©â€Chase parker have the most amazing mouth. That man is so sharp with his tongue and the way he was so confident about Resse from the start and expressed it to her at every opportunity he got was amazing to read.I NEED HIM!
