Hobonichi Techo A5 avec Cousin Book (July - December)

There are several reasons that I really like this planner. First of all is the paper quality. I can use fountain pens with no bleed through at all. Plus, because the paper is nice and thin, it takes up less room in the planner. Smaller footprint. Secondly, because the paper is thin, it makes the A5 planner very compact and lightweight. Easy to carry around, and it hardly weighs anything, and takes hardly any room in your purse. Thirdly, each day has a full page to not only keep a timed schedule, but lots of room to list some tasks for the day, and plenty of room left over for journaling or doodling, writing important pertinent information of the day, or drawing....whatever you want it for. You could also use the extra room for tracking. (Money, water, exercise, food diary expenses, or whatever). The end of the planner includes room for contacts, several blank grid pages. I'm really a paper snob, and so I really love the paper quality. I just may have found the perfect planner for me.

Product arrived with all the corners damaged. The cover and the inner pages. For the price I am definitely not satisfied.

I thought the paper would be too thin and the format too large for a simple diary, and I was wrong. The thin paper is very strong and takes liquid (rather than gel or dry ballpoint ink) very well, without feathering. If you press too hard it can bleed through to the next page, and even with relatively light pressure the next page gets slightly embossed but this is rather nice in a tactile way. If you're buying this you're probably a stationery lover and will like that. Also I found the page setup -- timeline in upper left, check boxes in upper right, and a free grid for the rest of the page -- to be very flexible and useful. If you don't have small handwriting, you won't be fitting a detailed calendar here but it's great for reminding yourself of the highlights. I use the space I thought would be excessive for all kinds of notes (a phone number, shopping list, scribbles while chatting on the phone, testing to see if a pen is working) and found it works great in tandem with an online calendar where I can put in lots of details, link to contacts from my address book, etc.

This planner is great for writing notes. Each day gets a page and there is a lot of space to write on each page. The monthly layout is standard, but well done. The book is light and very classy/stylish. I've never loved a planner so much!

Wonderful planner! I love the paper and the size and weight were just right for my needs. I also love that the seller included the original Hobonichi extras with the planner. The pen is so cute and the tissue dispenser was very useful too.

Love the a5 avec!!! Paper is so exquisite- layout is perfect for me. Yes it is in Japanese but I don't notice

This product came exactly as it would have if I had ordered it off of the actual hobonichi website. It came with the pen and 2016 extra. It may have been a little pricy but still not as expensive as ordering it from Japan and you can't beat amazon prime shipping. The lines are so faint I can use the out of date pages without any problem. Nothing beats this paper. I highly highly recommend this product for journal and planner lovers alike. Can't beat watercolor and fountain pen friendly with such thin paper.
