1st off, let me say that this product physically is exactly as described. This would have been a 5 star review except that one of the two lights didn't work (the orange one) after 5 seconds of turning it on. I cycled it thru the 3 modes and then the light started flickering and then went off never to turn back on again (batteries are good). The other one, so far, has worked, but I'm fearful if or when it will go out.The one that works is terrific. Very bright square light beam when used as a flashlight, and when used as a lantern, it's nice to have that "diffuser screen" so it's not blinding.I was really hoping that the other reviews talking about one not working or of the box were flukes, but that's my luck.I looked all over but couldn't find where to contact the seller for a return.EDIT *** I took the remaining one on a trip, thankfully, I also brought another brand, because when I took this one out of my bag, it no longer turned on.

The way that these things kind of twist and lock is a great idea but it doesn't work with these. I understand they are inexpensive but you have to put a little more effort into the things that matter the most and keeping this thing shut is one of them. If it wasn't for that I'd give it a 5 because it gives out almost the perfect amount of light in a 4-5 person tent.

These little guys are perfect for campsite lighting. The compact size is the biggest advantage. I like having the flashlight option when folded. The handle on top allows hanging from anywhere. The plastic shade is very durable. I personally liked these over solar versions because sun's not always available and rechargeable batteries just don't work out well. One small consideration I'd recommend the company change is the on/off switch button. It sticks out the side; therefore, if you pack it with batteries installed it's easy for the button to get pressed unintentionally inside a bag or whatnot. So, I pack them without batteries. I'd suggest they make a recessed button to avoid incidental activation. I've used these on three separate camping trips and have had zero problems or issues. I love them!!

These little guys are very handy. The 3 different settings are a plus. Only downfall is that they twist close, one of ours got kind of stripped, and sometimes pops open (to the lantern). However I would purchase again! Great for the price!

I really like the concept, and the light is super powerful. The only problem I have is that because of the position of the power button on the lantern, it is easily turned on by other equipment while it is in your pack. The batteries were drained before I could use it, because it was on while i was hiking. However it is a great product otherwise.

One of the two lights was dead on arrival. It was very easy to get a return label, and I received my refund very quickly. I'm very satisfied with the way this was handled. I wish I could've kept the one that did work, because it is really a nice light. I like that it runs on readily available batteries instead of internal batteries that needs to be charged via USB.

I purchased these to use in our camp trailer for when we want to sit outside around the table. I was very surprised about a few things. They are very bright more than I was planning for such a small light. They were ready to go I didn't have to do anything but turn them on. I like that you can use them as a flashlight or as a lantern. They have options for being bright, dim, or even emergency flashing. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

The pair of lanterns arrived early, which I greatly appreciated due to the bad weather right now. However, I would have rated these five stars if the batteries worked in either lantern. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't turn them on. Changed batteries and Voila, lights.
