I don't think you can find a better set of cookware. What makes them special? These are Tri-Ply pans with an aluminum core disc base. Seriously the best of both worlds. People argue over Tri-Ply vs disc bottom pans. Some Tri-Ply is thinner than others and without the disc core you may not get as even heating. Having a combination of both is awesome!The box says 18/10 stainless steel. I'm guessing the insides are 18/10 and the outsides 18/0 or 18/8. The magnet sticks to the base well for induction purposes although I have a coil electric.The mirror finish is beautiful. The inside has some polish too which is a plus. Really nice weight in the hand. I'm really impressed with the quality control. Another reviewer said the pans were separately boxed and to my surprise they were! I'm very happy I bought this set. All we need now is a dutch oven and a stock pot.A trick I learned about cooking scrambled eggs in stainless steel really works. Wipe a small amount of Olive Oil with paper towel abound the inside of the pan. Enough to cover but not pool. You don't need to see the oil. Heat the pan a bit over medium until butter will sizzle. Yes, a really thin coat of oil, then add your butter. The eggs will slide like magic! I couldn't believe it. A life changing moment actually.

So we have a full set of Walmart teflon coated pans currently in our house, and we are constantly dealing with Teflon flaking off, or forgetting to use wooden spoons instead of metal utensils. About a year ago we had some left over airline points that we didn't know what to do with so we thought we would get a stainless pan and give it a shot, we'll we love the one that we have, so now we are trying to replace all of our other non stainless pans. I ran across these, and they seemed to fit the bill heres what you should know. Pros+ Easy to clean and work with, not easily scratched+ Heat up fast, and provide a uniform cooking surface.+ Feel really nice and solid.+ The lids sit well on each of their respective pots and pansCon- The only thing I might suggest would be to add some kind of plastic grip that goes over the lid handle. I noticed after cooking rice that the handle was too hot to handle without a pad or glove. While most of my cooking would not require a lid when it does it would be nice not to have a rude awaking when you forget out of habit that its actually hot. Minor grip though, and would not keep me from buying more from Lake Industries, or recommending them to others.I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review.

Absoltely love these pans. They are heavy duty, they heat up just as promised and the handles and lid handle stays cool. I have been waiting for a good set of pans for quite some time and glad I did. They are easy clean up also. The only thing I would like to see are more sizes and styles. I have to keep a few of my old pots for the larger jobs. I received these at a discount for my honest review.
