Luz Lion's Mane Mushroom (Dual-Extract)

I am one of those people who can't remember where I left my phone and will find it in my hand after searching for it for 5 minutes. I really needed this product! I'm going to be honest, however. This flavor when just mixed with hot water is pretty unpalatable. It has a very deep mushroom like taste, almost like a yeasty taste. Some people might find it enjoyable, but for me it was a bit difficult to drink. I know there are people who enjoy brewer's yeast on toast for breakfast, and that's almost exactly what this flavor tastes like to me. What I started out doing was basically adding 1/2 teaspoon in as little amount of hot water as possible and drinking it really fast. Then, I started trying to mix it in other things. I found tomato juice hid it really well. I also put it in a hot tea once with a little honey and lemon and thought it tasted rather good. I don't do smoothies, but I read that was a good option too. My FAVORITE way to use this was in soup, though. It added that "mushroom" flavor but in a soup it was rather enjoyable and added a depth to the flavor! That was my favorite method. I ended up adding it here and there in my cooking and I also have some capsules that I put the powder in and took it that way as well. So, there are MULTIPLE ways of taking this supplement. If you find you enjoy the brothy, mushroom taste of it in just plain water, then that would probably be the easiest method. As I said, it wasn't HORRIBLE, it was definitely do-able, it just wasn't really something I enjoyed doing daily.For the actual supplement, I looked up lion's mane mushroom to see the actual information on it. First, the mushroom is a really neat mushroom. It truly looks like it has a "mane". I read it was used in Asia for thousands of years touting that it gave you the "memory of a lion". This supplement is a dark orange-ish powder that sprinkles easily in liquid. I strongly believe in natural supplements and believe in their healing natures. I try to go the natural route whenever possible. I have been taking this for two weeks in various ways and do think I have noticed an increase in my sharpness and memory. I will continue to use this every day and hope that it helps improve my memory. I could definitely use the help. I've been really looking into the benefits of different fungi for health benefits and overall well-being. Lion's Mane is an ancient Chinese medicinal that has seemed to develop quite a following in the modern world. I feel as though it increases my mental clarity and gives me a little bit more energy throughout the day. The powder is very fine and a light, rusty brown in color. It has an earthy, bread-like scent, and I actually think it tastes pretty good! There are many different ways to take this supplement, including putting it in teas, smoothies, sprinkling it on food, or mixing it in with soup. I personally love putting it in most soups. With having ADD, I wanted to find something that I could take to help my attention/focus that was not medicine since I do not take that. When coming upon this, I sat and researched what exactly this is and what it does. When I saw that it helps your focus and energy, I had to jump on. I am so glad that I did. You can tell this stuff is high quality because within a few days, I was feeling different and wasn't spacey like I usually am. This does have a strong smell but I could not taste it once I mixed it into my shake every morning/mid afternoon. If you just put it in water, You will be able to taste strong taste. This jar will last you awhile and very affordable. I recommend this to anyone with a brain injury that happened in the past, ADD etc. I am not sure if this is the cause of this but I have also noticed that my moods are not as bad as they were before taking this. Maybe a coincidence but I am thinking this has helped in all areas of my life. Since taking this, I have not found any cons but will update in the future if I feel it has changed me or I just don't like it anymore. Another thing, I think you should know is that I have high blood pressure and very sensitive and did not have any heart racing etc like I have with other products I have tried in the past.
