Heavy Duty Two Person Hammock, Double Wide Portable Nylon Camping Hammock, 400+ Pound Capacity, Yellow and Black

I love hammocks! I spent a summer traveling around the Caribbean with only bike and a hammock. When I got this hammock, I immediately found two perfect trees and set it up to check it out. Here is what I found.Pros:This is an extremely lightweight and compact hammock, especially when considering the size and weight capacity.It fits easily into the carrying pouch that is attached to the side of the hammock.It is a nice, large size and can easily fit two people relaxing together.The carabiners that are come with the hammock at either end make taking it down and setting it up in the same location a sinch (this is great for keeping it down when not in use as to not be affected by the weather).It comes with cord to tie around a tree and attach the hammock.It has a nice high edges, so it would be very difficult to fall out of this hammock.It is sturdy and will obviously last for a long time if well cared for.Cons:The cords to wrap around trees are not overly large, which means they won’t fit around large diameter trees.The carabiners that come with the hammock are sharp when open. They could cause damage to the cord if you are not careful when removing it.The high edges (discussed in #6 above) make it difficult to lay flat when turned diagonally in the hammock, as you would do for hammock sleeping.I did received this product in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. Having tested it, I would recommend this hammock to anyone looking for a hammock to string up between two trees.

I bought a second one as a gift because the first one was so nice and comfortable! It is really light as well, great for hiking. I picked up some longer heavy duty rope to make sure no 2 trees are ever too far apart ;)

Small, light and easy to set up. Really good purchase, great for taking on hikes.

I am very impressed, quite pleased. So, I have had a lot of hammocks in my day, and this is easily up there with top brands like Grand Trunk and Trek light, hammocks that are over double the price. So let’s begin with the breakdown.Design: 5/5 So this may seem like a weird thing to be excited about, but the design on this is really great. The first thing I noticed was that the hammock was really small in the package. A lot of these hammocks at this price point are small in the package, but they come out of the package and you know why... they are tiny in the first place. This is an exception. The hammock is extra wide, 6'6" (and I didn’t just take their word for it. I measured... This is great because it allows for a multitude of comfortable sitting and lying positions. It is plenty long too. Additionally, the black side panels are very small. These side panels are on every hammock because the seam between them and the main body panel it what allows the hammock to sag and conform more easily to your body. With a lot of the hammocks I have purchased, the center section is about the same size as the side panels. This is fine when the side panels are a light color, but with black side panels, they get quite toasty in direct sunlight. This is mitigated because the panels are so small and you do not come into direct contact with them as much.Strength / Durability: 5/5 The tie offs are substantial. They consist of two ends of rope connected to a sing carabiner. The amount of exposed rope is minimized this way. That means there is a much lesser chance that your anchor rope is damaged potentially putting your safety at risk. The carabiners are VERY sturdy and painted in a corrosion resistant enamel paint that will keep the carabiners in good condition for a long time.Accessories: 5/5The included tree straps are intuitive as they are unique. They go up very simply with a clove hitch and there is plenty of length to tie the hammock off to. Just make sure you study the proper knots for tying lest you want to end up on your butt.Value: 4.5/5 I wanted to give this a perfect 5/5 but it is a little more expensive than other entries with similar features. It really comes down to whether you are looking for bargain basement level products that will rarely be used, or are looking for a top tier product at a mid-level price. I found myself in the latter group, but I have to acknowledge that those in the former might find this price tag a little harder to swallow.Overall Verdict: I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a lightweight lounger, just make sure you have somewhere to hang it prior to buying.
