Winblink Badge Holder Retractable Reel with Belt Clip for ID Badge Holders Key Cards (Pack of 5)

I used a wide variety of retractable reel type badge holding clips and found this one to be the most durable and safe. The plastic sleeve at the end of the retractable cable is made of hard plastic that clicks/locks into place rather than a soft plastic with a button, so there is lot less stress on the sleeve to come open and cause the badges to fall. I lost a few badges this way while walking and this is definitely something that i would much appreciate in the design.However the hard plastic sleeve, being made of hard plastic does not bend much and is a bit hard to fit thru the smaller opening on the badges and it takes some effort to get the badge thru especially if it has a very small groove/hole. So dinging off one star for that.Overall the build quality is similar to what you would expect in a small item that costs a few cents to a dollar and is easily replaceable.I would prefer this type of badge holders to be made the default issue instead of the flimsy ones we get everywhere.

These are decent badge clips for the price.

It's a good idea, but I ended up having to butcher my plastic work cards to get them to fix over the plastic slot thingy.

At first I was not sure if I was going to like this badge reel or not, but it is just like other badge reels.  The difference between this one and others is the part where you connect your badge.On may other badge reels there is a button like snap to keep your badge on, but this one is a little different.  It took me a minute to actually open the snap part where you put your badge, but I contribute this to the fact that my badge will be safe and secure on the while on this badge reel.  No one wants to lose a badge.The reel is easy to operate and comes out nice and easy.  It stretches out a good amount of distance, but I did not test the waters to find out how far it can go out.  I did not test it mainly, because that is how some good quality badge reels break.  Once you pull it all the way out, it does not go back in.  This is a good quality reel with with a different clasp on it to secure your ID or badge.  Definitely one to check out.I received this product for free or discounted in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. These are great badge holders for the price. The clip is much better than the alternative snap because it is smaller, seems stronger, and does not get hung up on things. In addition to holding a badge, I also use these for fishing. I was buying the expensive stainless ones that are double the price for a single unit, but they didn't seem to last any longer. These are the best inexpensive badge reels I've used. I did break one while testing when I bumped it into the edge of the counter. It was a decent shot and not unexpected that the reel split in half. I have given two others away and both are holding up well. I received these badge reels at a discount, I thoroughly tested and used the reels before posting my review. I do not give positive reviews to products that do not deserve them simply because I received them at a discount. I count on honest reviews as much as you.
