It contains standards and practices of the highest standard maintained by the Coast Guard and avails these standards to us. The editor notes guide us through why these standards are necessary and humanize these very technical teachings. You can not pick a better boat to learn to be a crew member for the USCG Auxiliary. I paid $7 and it was well worth it.
