Tuenne Dragonfly Collar

This is a confusing one. I ordered the large Tuenne collar for my bigger dog. It was great. Solid construction. Great look. Sturdy. Waterproof. Worth the cost. So I decided to buy the medium size for my smaller dog. It was less than great. Same collar material. Still waterproof, Looks nice. But where there was once solid metal there is now plastic (or at least it looks a lot like plastic to me). There is no O ring (the ad does say there is no O ring in the medium size...But why omit it? Can't you just make a smaller ring?) and the part where you clip on the leash.....the once solid "anodized 6061 aluminum" is now plastic....doesnt look strong enough to last very long. It feels light and almost flimsy. I'm going to give it a shot but I have a feeling my dog is going to snap it right off the first time she pulls.So...the collar in the large size....a great item. Highly recommend it. The construction feels like its going to last forever. And the nice metal pieces feel and look good. (The clasp is plastic however, but it feels well made). This collar is worth the almost $30.00.The same collar in medium....not a great item. I have no idea why they cost the same price since it has, at best, half of the pieces and quality (although the actual collar material, the strip that goes around the neck, is the same material and quality as the large).Tuennes product claimed only to be different in size (and the admitted removal of the O ring). But its a vastly different product. Don't be fooled.Buy Tuennes large collar. Buy someone elses medium collar....

Bought this at least 3 years ago and it has lasted great. Our labrador is in and out of water constantly and the collar has held up to miles of trails and creeks and still looks like it will last for years.
