I wanted a thermos that would keep my drinks cold. This did a good job so far. My only disappointment was that I ordered orange and I got a light blue. I contacted Amazon and they told me they couldn't guarantee I'd get an orange if I did an exchange, so I had the choice of keeping it and they'd give me a 20% refund for the wrong item, or just returning it for a full refund. Getting to the UPS store is a major big deal for me so I decided to keep it and take the 20% refund. It did keep my drink cold all day. This morning a friend came over and liked the bottle ( and the color ) , so I gave it to her. She too was very pleased with the way it kept her drink cold. I'd consider ordering another one, but only if I'm guaranteed orange. Apparently there is no guarantee on that so I will try another company. For those who don't care about the color they may get, I'd recommend this bottle. It did what its designed for so I gave it 4 stars.

Made in China, wish sellers would list country of origin. Most times we have to really search where product is manufactured. I try not to buy products from China, for many reasons, quality, safety for example.

We've had it for 3 years not. It works very well and isn't too heavy. The color coated ones do not hold up well over time, however. The color is just a coating so after a while of going in the dishwasher it starts to peel off. It does't look very nice any more but the bottle itself is till in great shape. Once all the color has peeled off it will look much better. So if you want a colored one, be sure to Always hand wash it. If you can't commit to that and don't like paint chipping off it all the time, then go for the plain metal ones. I will definitely buy this brand again but I'd buy the bare metal types instead.

I bought this water bottle a few months ago while rounding up gear for Bonnaroo (high five!). I bought two, the orange one and the light blue one, for myself and my sister. Last year the lukewarm and rapidly heating water was one of the only complaints we had. Tennessee is hot in June and when you're running around at all hours, drinking beer, dancing and whatnot, hydration is especially important. When we first attended last year we got pretty tired of drinking water that came out of the fill stations only slightly cold and rapidly approached the temperature of a nice bath. The sales info stated that the Treksos bottle kept beverages hot or cold for up to 24 hours. I'm here to tell you that this was a conservative estimate. The purchase of this bottle was the best $14.95 I've spent all year. It kept my water refreshingly cold at all times for the four-day festival. The water from the fill stations is pretty cool and it stayed that way once in the bottle. At one point, I filled it from a bottle of water that had been in the icy cooler. This was around midnight or so. I forgot about it and went to bed with it laying out in one of the only spots of our campsite that WASN'T shady in the morning. Even after sitting in the direct, morning sunlight until about noon, the water inside was ice cold! This bottle made Bonnaroo that much better!! I use it sometimes for coffee when I go to work. There have been a couple of nights when I got too busy to finish it and ended up bringing home half a bottle of coffee and tossing it on the counter. Upon opening it the next day, the coffee is still steaming hot. It's like magic. Double wall insulated magic. Everyone should have one of these bottles. Thank you Treksos and Amazon :)

Too expensive

I was looking for a durable water bottle that I could take with me while I went hiking so I decided to buy the orange Treksos's water bottle. So far, I am enjoying this water bottle. The mouth piece area is large enough for me to put ice cubes in and it stays cold for a long time. I went hiking for several hours on a warm day and I still had ice cubes in my bottle. Also, this water bottle is light weight which makes it easier to carry around with me. Overall, the Treksos Water Bottle is very durable and well made. I would highly recommend this product.

Very good but didn't like the fact that you have to use both hands to open. It would be better with a straw.
