**Q: Is the sawn finish very rough?  How much sanding is required before painting?**
A: The balusters I recieved, the finish was actually pretty smooth. Very little sanding needed before painting. Would reccomend purchasing to anyone!

**Q: What is the turned center measurment?**
A: The center turned area is 8" long

**Q: I need 40 approx 1 3/4 inch by 18 inch for replacement painted balusters for old gazebo. Do you have anything suitable?**
A: These balusters are called a 2" baluster but that is their nominal size, their actual size is 1 5/8" x 1 5/8" x 18". If the 1 5/8" will work for you these can be painted and placed out doors.

**Q: Are these suitable exterior grade wood?**
A: These will work outside if properly painted and installed.
