Kitchen Candy Collapsible Over the Sink Colander/Strainer, Purple

We bought our collapsible strainer in March of 2017. It's seen a lot of use. We love the way it collapses to fit into the dishwasher, or for storage. Fits our sink well. Easy to clean, dishwasher safe. It's been our "go to" strainer since we bought it. Oh, and my wife loves the color (purple). :-)After 11 months of use, we noticed some cracks (about an inch long) develop in the corners where the material folds. I checked the listing, which showed a one year warranty. We contacted the seller, JB Enterprises - good to their word, they honored the "no questions asked" warranty quickly, professionally, and pleasantly. The replacement unit arrived today! And yes, the replacement is purple too. :-) GREAT customer service.

I had debated on ordering this forMonths. I looked at on Amazon several times before ordering & even asked questions before ordering. I was curious as how well it would do with draining the fat / grease from browned hamburger meat! The colander is a lot bigger than I was expecting which is great. Fits over my sink without having to extend the arms. In the picture I've included, it's draining 3.5lbs of meat! Love this colander & I'll be ordering another! Very well made!

I am so sorry I did not order this product sooner. It is fabulous. I often cook pasta and have a round plastic strainer that I have had for about 25 years. It took up a huge amount of room in my cabinet as it did not collapse. The pasta always spilled over the sides. This strainer is just the right size, fits over the sink, strains the pasta without spilling, collapses to fit easily in my cabinet and for an extra kick...it is a cute purple! I love it! I am going to buy several of these to give as wedding gifts. The price is right for something that is so very useful. I really, really like it and if you cook pasta or anything that needs to be strained - this is something you will want for your kitchen.

The concept is great however you need to be careful pouring your contents (pasta, veggies, etc) from the strainer because if you're not careful you'll have a mess on your hands. The collapsible feature is stiff so it's difficult to close and open the strainer. Lastly, I wish it was more compact. Overall it's great because there is nothing else like it on the market.

My daughter found this.I got it & wondered about it. Well, it fits across my sink , It holds a good amount.It is easy to clean & drain any fruit & I let it dry some. Heck blueberries have sat init with us snacking all day working around the house. Anyway I love this. I wipe it out & once in a while through it in the dishwasher. I love it.

This is my second one of these. They really do the job if you are making a lot of pasta. The only drawback is the creases where you fold it up will eventually crack. But for me I can live with replacing it. I know I have had my 1st one for over 5 years but less that 10. Since I am replacing that one I would say I am happy with it. I am also able to store mine in the cupboard with my cutting boards handy to the sink. My old strainer was metal and had to be stored in another room because I simple did not have room in my kitchen for that large of a strainer.

The picture looks black and blue but the actual strainer is grey and blue. Still pretty but not as striking as the photo. I had one of these previously in white and green that got mold inside the plastic rim - not anything that touches the food but still ugly. With the darker color it won't show any mold but plan to NOT put this one in the dish washer just to try and avoid the whole issue.

The front handles are adjustable and I can hang it over my sink. I'll bet it will work with almost any sink. It's great for pasta which is the only thing I have used it for. It collapses into a very small thickness for very easy storage. I like it a lot, but I'm skeptical of it lasting for years under heavy or even moderate use. Fortunately I'm an old man and use it only occasionally, so it is perfect for me.
