Solid Fuzz Pedal
I'm definitely a fan of Voodoo Lab's products and this pedal definitely provides a very unique sound. I purchased this pedal because I was in the studio recording an original song. I couldn't find the tone I was looking for and after describing what I was trying to accomplish the engineer recommened I try this pedal. I did purchase it and try plugging it in to achieve the tone I was looking for and unfortunately it wasn't it. This pedal is however super cool and provides that vintage fuzz tone with a lot of control, so make sure you know what you're looking for. I'm a huge blues fan and never had a fuzz pedal before so I definitely don't mind adding this guy to the board buuuut at the end of the day it's a pedal I'm only going to use for very specific use cases. I own the Sparkle Drive Mod pedal by Voodoo Labs, which is hands down my favorite OD pedal to date - and I still prefer it for blues, rock, or any dirty tone shaping I need to do.To be realistic - I won't give a bad review because there is absolutely nothing wrong with this pedal and it sounds killer compared to the other fuzz pedals I tried, it just wasn't what I was looking for. Do your research, try stuff out in person, and make educated choices prior to buying. I now have a cool pedal that may come in handy down the road so I'm happy with this purchase.
