Good book for a gift
I was a little disappointed in this book. I grew up in a housing project where purchased treats were rare. My Mom frequently made us fudge. Peanut butter because we didn't see nuts very often. I no longer have her recipe. I know it had 2 cups of sugar, cocoa powder, butter and milk and vanilla at the end. She didn't measure out the peanut butter just took out a huge scoop from the jar and added it with the sugar and milk to cook. One of my boy cousins who lived very close to us asked her for the recipe to make himself a batch. In her hurry she forgot to tell him about the milk. You couldn't get that mess out of the pan. I was hoping to find a recipe close to what she made. My husband worked in a fudge store and made fudge commercially but again not like my Moms. So I was disappointed. Canned milk was kept for coffee cream, and marshmallow fluff was unknown. Sounds faster and easier than Moms. We didn't use a double boiler or have a thermometer just a dish with cold water.

Truly delicious
I admired the way in which Ms. Gray went into detail in sharing her knowledge of making fudge. Fudge making is not as simple as it may seem but after reading the instructions and following the details of "Easy and Delicious Fudge: Traditional and Specialty one can actually feel very professional the second time around. I have tried the "Sweet and Delicious Marshmallow Fudge and I am pleased to report that it is very delicious. My plan is to try them all very soon. I recommend this book if you want a delightful experience in sweets.

Fudge to Please Everyone
Fudge is one of my favorite things in the world, and I've been making fudge since I was a child. So I thought I knew enough about fudge and how to make it, but Kathy's tips at the beginning of the book are not just for beginners. I learned a couple of things that will help me in my next round of fudge making.I already knew about soft ball stage and so on, but Kathy explains it very clearly for beginners, with links to online demonstrations. If you love fudge, then this book is definitely for you. I highly recommend it.

Now I Can Make Fudge!
I've had mixed results with my fudge in the past but I think this cookbook is really going to help me. There are traditional Fudge Recipes, Quick & Easy Microwave Fudge Recipes, Specialty Fudge Recipes and Fudge with Liqueur. I plan to use the microwave recipes to make some Christmas gifts for friends. The Quick 3 Ingredient microwave fudge and the Rich Chocolate microwave fudge are at the top of my list. There's also a recipe for Polish Krowki fudge that I will be making this weekend. Great cookbook!

not bad
though I haven't made it to the end of this book I have read several of the recipes, which I might add are pretty good for the most part, but feel it is a little repetitive in some ways. Still enjoy it and will be making fudge as soon as I collect the ingredients..

Simple Recipes for a Rich Desert
Ms. Gary's instructions are simple and clear. She takes the terror out of fudge making and even includes recipes that don't use a candy thermometer. I can't wait to try some of these.

A warning before you buy it
The recipies and measurements are American/Canadian? and are not the same as we know here. If your ok with that, then it is a great book. Easy and Delicious Fudge: Traditional and Specialty Fudge RecipesEasy and Delicious Fudge: Traditional and Specialty Fudge Recipes

Too much marshmallow fluff inside
Heavy reliance on marshmallow fluff or mini marshmallows in thie recipes, together with corn syrup. Very much US taste oriented

American measurements
This was a pain as the ingredients not easily available and the measurements were in cups. It should have made it clearer it was american.
