Loose Parts 2: Inspiring Play with Infants and Toddlers (Loose Parts Series) Paperback – Illustrated, July 12, 2016

I love this book! it's so inspiring to me personally. I'm currently trying to open an infant and toddler program and I'm a big fan of natural and recyclable materials and its the philosophy I want my program to be based on. I'm two chapters away form finishing the book and I can tell you how much I enjoy reading and looking at the pictures. Then again, I have the passion for it. It does have great early child development information on how children grow in every aspect of their development and why and how loose parts benefit infants and toddlers. Each chapter has an introduction but it consist mostly of photographs. Personally, I think it has great balance of information and pictures.

This has been one of the best books for ideas for using practical items with young children.

Great book. Fantastic pictures and oodles of ideas! My toddler loves loose parts, I just didn't realize it's an actual need. This gives me so many ideas to put out for him to explore.

This is going to be a good resource for parents but, I feel there are way more pictures than actual information. Not that I don't like pictures. I was looking for something with more guidance for parents as far as making and using items.

This book is amazing! I use it everyday for referral with my team at my early childhood centre. The photos are beautiful! Recommend this highly!

! was so glad to see a Loose Parts book written especially for tots! I loved the first Loose Parts book and I see everyday how prospective teachers really do not understand how to incorporate loose parts in helping tots safely learn with them. This book has mostly photographs of thousands of ideas. It is more difficult to find things specifically for kids under three and this volume does not disappoint!

Absolutely the best book book out there for information regarding loose parts play with the youngest learners! An absolute necessity for anyone working with infants and toddlers! Invaluable resource!

I like the pictures presented clearly in each chapter. I also like how this book provides meaningful insight to the actions of infants and toddlers. Helped me to understand the actions and behaviours of infants and toddlers from another perspective. Convenient. Thank you!

As an early childhood teacher I have loved these books. Easy to flick through and find some inspiration but also easy to include children’s voices in the decision due to the highly visual nature of the book. Highly recommend to teachers, educators and families alike.
