We bought one of those little Dash Mini egg cooking devices, and after trying spray Pam (which burned and was hard to control), we started looking for a convenient way to apply non-virgin olive oil (better for frying) without spraying. This little device looked promising, and has turned out to be perfect for that use.Although I was turned off by the color in the photos, it seems appropriate in reality... the bristles at the top have a definite organic look to them, like an onion sprout or something. And the size is petite – one of the product photos makes it seem huge, but that's either a bad mockup or a larger size than what's actually shipped – the actual size is roughly that of a salt shaker, and is perfect IMO.One last note is that it does get a tad oily... everything is silicone, so screwing down the top is interesting – the threads stretch, so you can easily twist it past the point of being tight. With a metal bolt we'd call that stripping the threads, but no damage is done in this case. You do have to hold back a bit and sense when it's as tight as it's going to get. The clear top fits just a tad loosely with clicking into place or anything, and this is where some oil can seep out. It's really not much of a problem, though - any seepage is easily wiped off, and it hasn't bothered us at all.So it's a very unique and useful oil dispenser which I heartily recommend!

I was looking for an alternative to the oil sprayers. I ordered this because the description said it did not leak. I used it to spread some oil on bread prior to toasting. It worked well. If you shake it, it will drip, but the oil does not come out in a stream. It can also be put in the dishwasher and it has a cap to keep it clean when there is still oil in it.

This is absolutely perfect for putting a small amount of olive oil on fish or other meats prior to cooking or sauteing. The harder you squeeze the more you get out. Brush cap fits tightly on bottle and clear caps keep gnats or other bugs from resting on silicone bristles. After using it several times, I would highly recommend.
