Even so, the recorded step count was still far lower than the actual number of steps I took. I tested it in different pockets and positions, but the results were still inconsistent. I like the simple design, large display, and long battery life, but accurate step tracking is the main reason I bought it. Because of the inaccurate counts, I can't rely on it to monitor my daily activity.
