Perfect gateway to the world of ADS-B tracking and feeding...
I loved the low cost of this device. Sure, maybe there are cheaper, no-name devices on eBay, but I felt as though this one had more support being from an actual name brand. This was my gateway and I enjoyed it so much I quickly upgraded to the green stick and 24" antenna from the same company. I currently feed several websites and enjoy the added features (I would otherwise need to pay for) of their websites, which they give me for free.I started out using a Pi Zero W, but upgraded to a Pi 3 A+ for improved performance and it's a rock solid performance package.Give this a try, you'll like it.

It works!
It's an inexpensive and simple way to get into the ADS-B hobby. The software you download *IS* draggy, but if you disable it from downloading nationwide flights and only monitor what the ADS-B device itself is picking up, it works much faster and easier. People who are claiming it to be junk either are using ancient PC's, or have no understanding of how to operate the device.

Works for plane spotting on RPi. 'nuff said.
I bought 3 different low-cost SDR devices to use with plane spotting software (flightaware, flightradar etc). This was the more expensive of the three but the only one that was compatible with the software that worked. At the time I bought it, this was the lowest priced unit for this task.

Takes some doing to get done. Not plug and play. You have to want it lol. *update* its junk
* update * I got it to work after downloading legacy software found on google*UPDATE* absolute junk don't waste your money. it only works some times. the software is crap. the antenna is a joke and falls apart.

good for the price
It is very good for the price, but there are better options out there. It's frequency was off by about 70ppm. A genuine rtl-sdr brand was be right on. It may or not be relevant depending on your application/use.

Worked great for a hand full of times then started getting error message. Contacted seller almost a week ago and received a response pretty quick. Their recommendation to fix the problem didn't work and I sent them an email (5 days ago) letting them know that the problem still persists. I have yet to hear anything back. I was going to give 1 star, but I really liked the product when it was working.

A great starter
I bought this as a start out on ADS-B receiving. The antenna is okay but can be replaced with a better one cheaply. This was by far better value for money than buying the other model.

freedar.uk is better than this thing
very disapointed in this, it takes ages to load up on my windows 10 laptop and does not work right when it does start, will not load satalite imagery and keeps freezing and restarting very very frustrating for an avid airband listener like me as i planned to use my UBC 3500XLT at the same time but as its next to useless i didn't bother

I think its a Really Good Tracker
I also own a Full size radarbox unit (since 2009) , the full size device fitted with a very specialist high roof (non radarbox) aerial typically tracks around 90 aircraft up to 230 NM distance at my home location, the micro box using a separately purchased 3m extension cable fitted to the small supplied aerial is able to track 30+ aircraft at 100NM from window ledge -most critically the software is the std radarbox comprehensive colour display linking aircraft ID to internet photos - I have had no software jams (on laptop) , I bought unit to monitor aircraft when travelling away - packs very compact.I found the key to good performance is the aerial. the 1mtr length one supplied cable is far to short, you require at least 3mtrs (I found no signal loss at that length) to find hotel windows or car roof mount, Is also very cheap- £34, but currently its has become not available in UK and not importable from Amazon USA,Its only disadvantage is when travelling you have to reprogram your location to where you are otherwise it reports silly aircraft distances away from you (distances are based on your home station location), unit is only as good as the view out of window and how close you are to main air routes, that stated new aviation rules in 2020 mean even all light aircraft and microlights will be visible (if the pilots decide to switch them on- still Ryanair pilots are never bother)
