Poundex Sectional Set, Blue Grey

Not sure what everyone else is doing to their couch to give this such a poor overall review. The first picture I’m posting is from June 2024 and I bought these in September of 2016. I have had zero legitimate issues over nearly 8 years. At one point the seat back came out of the bracket one side but I just popped it back in. The couches have been through 3 moves and never had any issues when reassembling. It’s still quite comfortable too!

Loved these at first, but now just 3 months in, these couches are completely demolished. I got them for my first apartment and they looked great at first and were easy to assemble, but even after just light use, they've fallen apart. Like, have caved in in the middle and have completely separated into two parts. Even with some attempts to fix them, they're done for. Tossing them in the garbage this week. Such a waste of money.

We're about six months into owning this and are still happy with the purchase. We only needed the sofa, so we found the loveseat another home. For the price (300 for the set), I don't think you could get a better sofa set. They are by no means as well made or comfortable as our living room set, but these are less than a fifth of the cost. Take note though, the price on this set varies wildly (I've seen as high as $800 and as low as $250 shipped), and I would not have been nearly as happy with this set at $800. It's definitely a budget set, but a good budget set. Many of the other similarly priced sofas on Amazon get bashed for being uncomfortable or downright painful to sit on for longer periods of time. I didn't see that kind of complaint about the Poundex, so I went for it (and am glad I did). We use it for 1-2 hours at a time in our tv room and it's always been comfortable. The only caveats are: • The width: it works for our space, but these are not as long as most other sofas I've owned. Getting three people on the sofa would be tight. • The included throw pillows are a poor match. The fabric is quite cheap looking and uncomfortable, and the pattern and color don't really seem to fit this set. This is minor, as pillows are cheap, but their inclusion kind of cheapens the whole feel when unpackaging everything. • The feet are a little odd too in that they're just hollow plastic boxes, and ours had plenty of un-repairable scuffs. We just turned the worst sections toward the back, and don't really notice them anymore. They might stand out more in a bright gathering room, but they're fine for our use. •You can tell from the included photo, the sections didn't line up perfectly during assembly, but it's nothing crazy and doesn't detract from the comfort. Final thoughts: The assembly was certainly odd, but it eventually came together after a few mis-steps. The pieces are incredibly light, so I was able to put it together myself without help. I think the hardest part was getting the back pieces slid all the way into place. I concur with other reviewers, there isn't much blue in the fabric, definitely more of a charcoal grey. And I should point out that the cushions are in no way removable, they're sewn directly over the frame. The good news is that you won't lose anything UNDER a cushion, but you may find yourself digging between them for lost items.

I bought this couch/loveseat set for our College/Young Adult Ministry room and they are absolutely perfect for the space! I had never bought a disassembled couch before and was a little nervous about how that would work, but the reviews said they were worth it and that they were super easy to assemble so I bought them ($300 for the set) and hoped for the best. They arrived in decent time and the boxes and furniture inside were in great shape. Each sofa comes in its own box, so there’s no guessing which pieces go to which sofa; and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. They really were super easy to put together! I put them together by myself in about an hour and a half. They also come with two accent pillows each which is an added bonus. These sofas are solid enough for a bunch of college kids and they’re a great place to hang out (or take a nap!) and the color is great too. It even matched our existing chairs perfectly! This set exceeded my expectations in every way! We absolutely love them!

I was very pleased with my purchase. The color was similar to what is pictured. I would consider it to be of a charcoal grey rather than a blue grey. It was delivered in a timely manner. The packaging was very neat and undamaged. Assembly was very easy. The sofa was smaller than what I expected but this may be due to my comparison to my previous sofa which was slightly bulky. I like the clean lines of the sofa. I was skeptical about the sturdiness and how well it would hold up with children but so far it's held up well. It's very comfortable to sit on. The price is great especially for the product. My last sofa I spent twice as much and had several issues with it so hence why I sought to buy something more affordable. I would recommend this product.
