Drone Broadhead by Wasp Archery

Doesn't Fly Consistently
I ordered these Drone broadheads because my local archery store commissioned a specialized version of this Drone broadhead from Wasp with a higher price, a different type of construction, and a smaller width: 1" as opposed to 1 1/8" wide. The Wash Drone-S broadheads from my local archery store fly predictably from shot to shot, but not necessarily from broadhead to broadhead. By contrast, these Drone broadheads by Wasp sold on Amazon fly erratically. These broadheads lack consistency from broadhead to broadhead, and also lack consistently from shot to shot with the same broadhead. These broadheads are priced well, but I'd rather pay a more for reliability and consistency. I am using Easton 6.5 mm match grade arrows with four-inch vanes and .001-inch straightness.

Impressive Accuracy and Penetration
I have to admit, I was a die hard fanboy of 2" + mechanical heads. After several unfavorable experience with mechanical heads I decided to give the Wasp Drone a try after seeing the antler geeks review. I can honestly say that these group better than my field points/mechanicals.I have shot them next to rage, schwacker,NAP, g5, and grim reaper heads, and could not get any to group like these. I had to use the included set of replacement blades after stacking three almost on top of each other. The deer I hit with them didn't go far. I am shocked that these are only $25. I'm not being paid to recommend these heads(wish I was), but I will speak highly of them to any hunter who will listen. Pick up a set and shoot them, you will not be disappointed!

Very Effective!
Waited to write a review until after I got the chance to use this Drone thru my ground blind mesh window. Worked awesome! Hit exactly where I aimed and drove thru two ribs on a spike buck at 20 yards(entrance and exit) with my compound bow. Arrow didn't pass thru all the way until he ran past a tree branch that popped it the rest of the way out. Broadhead could be reused with just a slight nick in one blade. Plan on sharpening it some and letting it fly (and eat) again! Deer dropped in 70yrds with the shot being a little high and back. Great product!

Does the trick
Once I got these heads I touched the ends up with a sharpening stone and got them to have clean edges on all the points which I feel added to their accuracy. I was shooting 50+ yards with great accuracy once they were touched up. Was able to harvest a doe with one this past December at around 30 yards. I watched her tip over after running 40 yards. Obviously shot placement is key but they did a great job.

Great flying broadhead
Just received them and they fly like a dart. So far very happy with the accuracy. Blades came very sharp and with two sets of replacement blades. American made at a very fair price and a steel ferrule. I’ll update once a deer is harvested this fall. God Bless

Found a Broadhead for life!
I felt very obliged to review this product after it's amazing performance this week. I harvested a very nice elk in Idaho on Sept 11th with these broadheads. The Wasp Drone penetrated through both shoulder blades at 60 yards resulting in a double lung, fast, ethical harvest. The animal only went 15 yards before it expired. While processing the meat, I was again amazed at the size of the holes in the shoulder blades, I was able to easily slide my thumb through both sides. The accuracy is unmatched by any other fixed or mechanical broadhead that I've ever used, and I have found my broadhead for life. I have total confindence in this product. I strongly recommend this product!

Love These!
After much research I decided to switch from the rage mechanical to the wasp drone fixed blade. Mine shoot about 5 inches lower than my field tips, but after adjusting my scope I have them shooting a 3 inch grouping out to 50 yards. What impressed my the most so far is that I shot them completely threw my broadhead target, a cardboard box, and very dense styrofoam type material. After doing this at least 15 or 20 times, the tip is still razor sharp. I did have to sharpen the blades up a little but not much. I have know doubt that if I happen to make a bad shot these will blow right threw the shoulder.

They are ok
They seem well made but do not group with my field tips out of my crossbow or compound. I love the Sharpshooters they do fly like a field point but these are just a little off. Maybe if you index them with your fletching's they would work better. I just prefer to open a box and it the product work.
