This is a heavy duty mug that was worth the money I spent. It's solid all around, with no seams to leak or allow water in between the layers. The handle stays in place without slipping and is spacious enough to fit four fingers, allowing for a firm grip on the 30-oz mug. Although it's not leakproof, the lid includes a gasket and a sliding closure so that you can cover the opening that is used for drinking. After several days of using the mug for hot coffee, I noticed that the only place where you feel any heat escaping through the sides of the container is between the top of the handle and the lid, which is a relatively small area when you consider the size of the cup. I haven't used the cup for cold beverages yet, given that it's winter, but I'm looking forward to the mug performing well when filled with ice water.

These are great, they keep icefrozen and water cold all night. They do not close tightly.

I have only tried with cold beverages and was able to keep ice in water for 10+ hours. Worth the money. Great for taking on the boat or outdoor event. I will be buying this for Christmas presents.

Purchased this as a gift for someone who works in the ski industry and seriously needs to keep coffee hot. It works great.
