12-LED Solar Motion Sensor Security Light with Two Intelligent Modes,
D**.
Hurricane Matthew tested
I have 3 of these solar motion sensors and they work perfect . I delayed my review because hurricane Matthew just blasted thru Jacksonville fl . All 3 are working perfectedly. No false light ups from driving rain , no leaks . And with no house power for a few days I have security lights near my opened (locked at 5 inches at night) Windows . Highly recommend !

Flickering, Not Adjusting to Motion - Disappointed in This Batch of Two Just Received
Have purchased over 12 of these sets to complete satisfaction. I recommend them to others who have stopped by my home to ask me where I got them. The last set of two I purchased, however, have issues. Not coming on or coming on unnecessarily or flickering until touched. Don't know what to make of them. By now, I know how to charge and set them up, so it is the lights and not me where the problem lies. Haven't taken the time to package them up and send them back. Not sure if I'll have to pay return postage or not either. Hate returning anything, but they just aren't working like they should be. Otherwise, all the others I purchased, are working months later, as needed in driveway and walkways around the house. Couldn't be more pleased with those. Disappointed in this last batch only at this point.

So far so good! I placed this near our front door so that we wouldn't have to fumble with the keys at night or leave the front light on. These are VERY bright where there's no ambient light. The light is very cool, almost blue so if you're expecting a warm tone, these are not for you.The included hardware is okay. The screws are easily stripped however. Because of this I just used some beefier screws I had laying around to set them on my walls. These units are a lot smaller than I expected. They fit inconspicuously and don't stick out like a sore thumb. The sensitivity is great also. As soon as I get near my door, they come on instantly. I also have on in front of the garage since we never had any lights there before. That one doesn't light up my driveway too much because we have a street light in front of our house that provides a lot of ambient light, but you can still see the bright white LEDs coming from the unit.I may just have to buy a couple more of these for my backyard. If these hold up after a couple of weeks, I'm going to purchase more.

It is by far the most reliable. I have not had a single dark night
5 Stars --- I love these lights. I purchased a couple different brands of Solar Motion Sensor security lights over the past two years. I use a combo of dimmers and non-dimmers. I placed a light that dims at the foot of my steps. I placed my Holan light at the top of my steps. It does not dim. It is by far the most reliable. I have not had a single dark night.MY OBSERVATIONS:Dimming Lights -1. Make sure your light is being charged by the sun during the day - full sun access for at least 8 hours, not indirect sun. If they do not get a full charge, they won't have the juice to stay lit all night.2. Since the dimming light stays on all night. they tend to run out of juice much sooner than the non-dimming light.3. Also, the cold weather tends to make the battery in my dimming light weak. If you are located in a colder climate with less hours of direct sunlight, opt for the lights that don't dim like this Holan non-dimming light. This behavior stops when the weather warms back up.Non-Dimming Light – My non-dimming Holan light has never let me down. I have never come home to dark steps..1. The non-dimming lights last longer since they do not need to stay lit all night..2. My Holan non-dimming light has never stopped working due to cold weather. If you have a light that refuses to stay lit all night, test it. Turn the light off, let it charge for a few days, then turn it back on. If it still does not hold a charge (can’t make it through the night), then you have a defective unit. Let the seller know. They may send you a replacement FOC.One last thing, I recommend leaving the plastic cover on the solar panel. I took the cover off my first light (the dimmer) and the solar panel has gradually turned white over time due to weather, and birds. I managed to scratch the white off so it gets a full charge. I plan to replace it with one a new dimmers I bought today. I will move the older dimmer to a different spot - it still works..I highly recommend the Holan light. Especially if you opt for a combo of dimmers and non-dimmers like me. This method has worked well for me since I don't always want a light shining through my front door and window. Being able to find my steps with the dimming light located at the bottom of the steps is all I need. As soon as I hit the bottom step, the non-dimming light turns on and my whole porch lights up.I hope this helps. If you have any questions, just ask.

Great Security and Safety Lights
We've only had these lights a little over a week, but are very happy with them so far. They are much smaller than I expected even though I never bothered to check the actual size before I bought them. I just assumed they were bigger based on the photos. It does't really matter though, because even though they're small, they put out a lot of light. It's not bright white light, but the LED blue/white type light, but still more than adequate for lighting up a large space. Also the sensor works great and picks up movement in a wide area. Because we don't have carriage lights on the sides of the garage our driveway can be very dark, so we place one of the lights above the garage door. Last night it picked up the motion of our vehicle when we were in the street getting ready to turn into the driveway. The only drawback might be that they're sensitive enough to detect the wind rustling the trees and bushes, because when it was windy one night the light kept going on and off. I read other reviews before buying these and one of the complaints is that the on/off switch is a small pin hole with a pin "key" used to turn them on/off. It is kind of a pain and I can see that it could be a problem if you lose your pin key. However if it was a regular on/off switch then anyone (burgler, etc) could turn the lights off & on too.
