I love it so much! At first I was concerned because the lid didn't seem to fit right, but after reading reviews I realize it was designed that way, and not having a "complete seal" is not a problem at all. I never have a problem with odor. And the only time I've had any issues with bugs it has been my own doing and even then they stayed pretty well contained within the compost bin. Plus, being that I use it for my worm compost, I secretly love that it looks like a miniature version of Oscar the Grouch's trash can. But maybe that's just me. :)

This bin is cute and effective. The only thing I wish was different was that the lid closed tightly, you have to make sure you aren't leaving anything sit in there, especially this summer!

I like it, easy to clean with the removable container. The one con is that the lid sits lose. It sits on the plastic bucket, it does not come in contact with the metal base. This does not cause a problem unless it tips over. I have never notice a smell coming from it, I would buy again :)

This can is sure cute (although it's not as shiny as the picture shows). Even though the lid does not snap tightly closed or use filters - the can does not emit odors. I fill it up with green kitchen scraps, coffee grounds, paper napkins, etc. and in a week or so, I take out the removable insert and dump the contents into the compost bin outside. This is much more pleasant than a Folger's coffee can. I recommend this product.

The can lid was no tight fitting. Customer service was actually really great but then they confirmed that the lid isn't supposed to fit tight and I returned.

Lid doesn't fit tight. Have to empty daily or fruit flies move in. Defeats the purpose.

Not what I expected

It's just what I was looking for. The size is perfect for me. The insert has a nice handle and I like that it is easy to wash.
