The handle keeps falling off

I've had this bin for 8 months. It is a good size to leave on the kitchen counter. My complaint is with the finish. The white, inside and out, consists of a thin coat of paint, not enamel as I thought when I first took it out of the box. Consequently, the paint chipped around the rim when I tapped a spoon on it to drop the contents into the can. Now, the paint is coming off the inside of the can and I am looking for a better product to replace it with.After submitting this review, I was surprised that the vendor issued a refund. Very honorable of them. It's too bad about the paint because the vin was the perfect size and weight for a family of three that uses lots of fresh produce.

I love this bin! It is the perfect size for my small kitchen and looks cute. Has no odor and I haven't noticed any fruit flies as yet. I received a large bin for my backyard from a friend and this is perfect for the house. I love that it says "compost" on it so people don't accidentally put plastic or other garbage in it. I only wish that it came in different colors, but I'm totally satisfied with it as is....

I've had this for about six months. in the first month the inner lid got bent (from normal use). bin handle falls off. And now the lid handle also comes off. this looks like poor attachment, as the lid fits snugly (which is good), so you're pulling a little harder on the handle than you would do on something that's a lid. so essentially this has fallen apart in 6 months and now i need to be thinking of replacing it.

I love this bin! We left for a week and I forgot to empty it out, so it sat on our kitchen countertop...but it sealed in all odor (and the mold that managed to grow). We cleaned it out upon return and took out the filter and simply tossed the can and lid into the dishwasher. No harm, no foul. It has held up wonderfully, and I only have to take it out to our compost container outside every 2 or 3 days.

Great little countertop compost bin! This is shorter and wider than most of the ceramic models available, which works much better for getting food scraps into it. We used to have one of the taller and narrower ceramic styes and were always having to shove things past the rim. This works much better! The lid fits snugly, it cleans up easily, and it doesn't feel cheap at all.
