There are 7 or less ingredients in our Yellow Barn Biodynamic Pasta Sauces and everything but the salt is grown on Demeter certified Biodynamic farms. You should feel good about that, because they come from an sustainable, organic source dedicated to holistically managed, self sustaining ecosystems. You should also feel good because everyone’s going to ask for seconds at dinner.

What was the Chef Thinking
While organic, and packaged in glass and metal, this sauce is far too thin, has little if any chunks or pieces of the foods that normally comprise Puttanesca sauce, and has no real taste.Three stars because, while the sauce won't help you much in terms of taste, its healthy composition and packaging means that it likely won't hurt you, either.

Alluring unforgettable vegan pasta sauce
Had this weeks ago and dreaming about getting my hands on another jar asap. Literally my hands on a jar, as I could just eat this sauce out of the jar cold, it was that good. I loved the fresh, firm olives in the sauce. This is a little hard to find as it is expensive due to natural ingredients and biodynamic farm production. I found it at Whole Foods for less than amazon charges. Here's what I learned about this flavor from the company's website: "Puttanesca" literally translates to "in the style of prostitutes," supposedly because the pungent aromas of garlic, anchovies, capers, and olives tossed with pasta were how Neapolitan prostitutes would lead customers to their doors. Our puttanesca will lead your dinner guests to your table, and they will leave completely sated from the delicious flavors and the engaging and risqué conversation." Although the traditional puttanesca calls for anchovies, Red Barn omits them so vegans and vegetarians can enjoy this wonderful sauce. MMMMMmmmmmm.
