No cutting necessary. **Q: what is the length?** A: THESE ANSWERS ARE INCORRECT. THE ITEM IS JUST OVER 8 FEET. NOT 10 OR 12. Please read the listing - it has the correct length in the product description. **Q: Does something anchor this at the bottom? Does it move around in the wind? I’m concerned that wind would make it hit the house or windows.** A: It does not anchor by itself and does move some in a heavy wind. I made mine a bit longer and set a rock on top of the part laying on the ground. **Q: Can I attach 2 to make 16'?** A: This comes completely unassembled. You have to weave the links together... because of this, you can make them any length you like. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐ Don’t really do the job *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 29 June 2026* Too fiddly ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Effective and attractive *by on Reviewed in the United States 20 January 2017* I purchased four sets of this chain several years ago, replacing a more typical and uninteresting copper continuous-chain design. They look great and, more importantly, they work well and have held up remarkably well over time. When I first got them, I was surprised by the package of individual disks that needed to be assembled, but they all went together quickly and easily and the interlocking disk design really channels the water no matter how fast the rate of flow. It is important that the chain be anchored at ground level to something. In my application, They are attached to the drain covers that carry the water away from my house. - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/300698439-rain-chains-direct-modern-loop-8-5-feet-length-aluminum](https://www.desertcart.be/products/300698439-rain-chains-direct-modern-loop-8-5-feet-length-aluminum) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
