Pure Organic Saffron Kashmiri Indian Worlds Best Quality by NiceSpice (5 Gram)

When I first ordered this saffron, I knew I was ordering Indian Kashmiri saffron, but I didn't actually know it was coming from India. So it took a while before I figured that out, and it also took a while to get it in the mail from India. However I did get it in a reasonable amount of time, I think about two weeks. It came in a small flat manilla envelope, with two Indian post cards taped together inside, with a nice note from the seller on one. Between the post cards was a small zip lock type baggy with the the dark red saffron threads inside.When I opened it I was very pleasantly surprised, as it was the freshest, best quality saffron I have ever purchased. Nice red color, slightly soft straight stigmas, not all dried up and crackly, and it was nearly all red "stigma tips", with almost no trace of plant waste or the yellow lower waste parts of the stigmas.It passed my "tea test" with flying colors. I put about 10 to 15 of the stigmas into my cup, add a little warm water and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes. The pistils slowly released a beautiful deep golden color. Then I filled the cup up with near boiling water and let it steep for another 10 minutes or so. All the stigmas retained most of their red color (important part of the test) and the tea has a nice fresh saffron flavor and nice golden color. I drink a cup of this tea everyday, as it helps with my high blood pressure and allows me to significantly reduce my dose of Lisinopril each day. Sometimes I can even skip a day or two of the pills.Anyway it is much better than any saffron I had gotten before (and I have bought from a few different sources). It makes the Spanish "coupe" saffron (supposedly grade 1, that is sold on Amazon and E-Bay) I had gotten before look like pure garbage.Very happy with the seller and his product, and I will definitely buy saffron from him again! I would highly recommend this saffron to others who appreciate really good saffron.

I am quite disappointed with this product. I am a regular user of saffron and this product was very poor quality. Typically you need 8-10 strands to flavor 2 cups of liquid. A large pinch of more than that got nowhere when I used this product. I know it has received a 5 star review from another customer who sounds knowledgeable but all I can say is that it can't be for the product I received. It did look great when I received it and I was quite excited since it was a good price but after I got a chance to use it, I found It has very little taste and a musty aroma.I would not buy this product from this seller again.

Best saffron I ever purchased. Its aroma and quality is much better than any other saffron i bought online. Price is quite reasonable as well. Other brands had lot of impurities or unwanted part of saffron in it while this one comes already separated from them.
