The latest addition to the Fischer S-bound series is the widest yet. The Fischer S-Bound 125 Crown Ski is a formidable backcountry all-rounder. Featuring the Fischer Offtrack Crown pattern, you'll have plenty of grip on the uphills, and when it comes to downhill, the 125-95-120 sidecut ensures you can carve it up with ease. These skis are also Fischer Easy Skin Compatible for superior uphill traction.

Beware: very fragile and Fischer won't honor warranty claim
I decided to try these as an alternative to skins. They climbed pretty much as expected for a waxless base, and skied okay in powder but terrible in our Sierra cement. The reason I'm giving one star is that after a few falls (nothing horrific) the tail cap on one ski fractured and tore half way off. I skied on them perhaps 5 days. Fischer denied a warranty claim saying the damage is due to impact damage. These skis are very fragile if they can't take a couple of falls.Update: I just took them out to add epoxy to the tail damage for this season and the edges are completely corroded and covered with rust. They were stored dry next to my other two pairs of skis (Dynafit and Black Diamond). The other skis have no rust at all.

Four Stars
good climber, lively floaty on a powder decent, kicker skins are wimpy.
