I bought this product for myself becuz I enjoy my teas....I have used bagged teas all my life, and I figured now is a good time for change since loose leaf teas are becoming more common now adays!!The holes are very tiny and barely big enough for a powder to drainthrough so the leaves do not come through at all....The thin mesh strains the leaves out well to where none get into my tea...I love how the lid can be used as a coaster when you take it out of your tea, it isn't making a mess and dripping everywhere....I am able to steep my tea without worrying that it will become cold in the process....I place my infuser into my mug, and just pour my water into the infuser, let it steep, and remove....The silicone handles make it easy to remove without worrying about burning your hands....I purchased this product for absolutely nothing....I received it for free for my review....

I loved this product when I first got it. The design is perfect for banging it against the inside of a garbage can to dump the wet tea leaves. The hard rubber collar reduces the impact while still allowing it to be effectively emptied. Unfortunately, the basket is a 2-part design and after a relatively short period, the bottom portion became detached from the lip ring.If you're very gentle with it, it might last but there is still the issue of the rubber collar deforming after repeated beatings. The only way I can see being able to use this w/o any chance of separation or deformation would be to somehow scoop the wet leaves out. That's a bit tedious though and I can't see anyone doing that on a regular basis, especially if you drink multiple cups per day.Instead you should look for an infuser that is all one piece. You'll still have the problem with the collar deforming if you bang it repeatedly, but at least it won't fall apart.

Steep away with these puppies. Super easy to use, proper sized holes so loose leaf tea doesn't stay behind, and they fit easily on pretty much any standard tea mug.You know that one bag at the airport that gets left on the conveyor belt? Yeah, that doesn't happen to the tea leaves here. They stay packed in the chamber and with whatever heat you have in them.One obvious downfall of any infuser is that they displace more water than a standard tea bag so it's easy to drop this in and receive a splash back. That part is pretty obvious but it also means you get a lesser amount of brewed tea. Personally this a worthwhile tradeoff because I mess with the loose leaf.

This was my best Christmas gift this year. I love it. It is so easy to fill and empty. It holds a lot of tea so that you can just keep adding tea as you make 2nd, 3rd & 4th cups of tea. I've chucked out all our other tea balls, infusion spoons, strainers, etc! This is it!!!

This is an excellent infuser. I plan to order this as a gift for some other tea drinkers I know.

It more than met my expectations. Fantastic that it is wider at the top for larger mugs.

My new favorite strainer, bar none. How have I not considered a larger infuser like this before? We own quite a few actually and drink tea daily in our household. We have a large range, from expensive Teavanna infusers to cheaper Amazon bundle packs (which can be pretty awesome too) but they are all smaller with a chain, or cute characters that sit over the side. One thing that drives me nuts is when the holes aren't fine enough and I get bits in my tea. Another problem with over the top infusers is I need the right mug to get the water high enough to float the tea for good flavor. I've used this one a few times and LOVE it! Really, it fits in my regular mugs, smaller tea mug and large coffee mugs. It's much bigger than I thought, I can use it in my teapot also! Just wonderful! My absolute favorite is how fine the holes are..even my smaller loose leaf tea doesn't come out. Makes just wonderful cups! I have a green one and love the bright color. The lid is nice to have for proper brewing and I'm really happy with the price, especially compared to our more expensive infusers I hardly use.
