Worth the price.
This is an excellent set of headphones. I bought them for someone who is hard of hearing and they needed something really solid. Worth the price.

the Fujisan have better bass and sound fuller than the Sonys and the ...
I got these from the Kickstarter campaign and have used them as my primary earbuds over the . Previously to that I used the Sony XBA-C10IP as my everyday ear buds and I had Shure E2c-ns before that. I also regularly use Sennheiser HD600s and Beyerdynamic DT-770s as my over-the-ear headphones.Sound: 4-4.5 Stars.I'm not sure I'm the most sophisticated listener but here's what I can say: the Fujisan have better bass and sound fuller than the Sonys and the Shures. It sounds much more like you're in a room than have tiny speakers in your ears. I hear subtleties in the music that I haven't heard in other earbuds. That said, I don't think they touch either of the over-the-ear headphones, but I'm not sure any earbuds really would. There is some cord noise but I think that's the case with most isolating earbuds like these and the shirt clip does help.Design: 4 StarsOverall, I think they look and feel great. The shirt clip works well. My one big complaint is that the plug is straight rather than a right-angle plug. This leaves it sticking straight out and, say, you're on an airplane and the plug sticks out of the armrest and another passenger is trying to get by and hits it with his knee, it can really bend the plug. Which brings me to...Customer service: 5 StarsSo that actually happened. The damage was my fault and obviously wasn't covered under their warranty. I contacted Telos asking if there was a way to fix the plug and they replaced my earbuds! Wow!Comfort: 5 StarsI haven't had any discomfort at all. I tend to only wear them for an hour or two at a time but even in stretches that long they've been comfortable. They also stay in place while I run or do other exercise, which is great.

The best earphones ever.
This was what I had been looking for. The sound is significantly clear and you can listen to sounds that you couldn't hear with normal earphones. I hadn't listened to piano or classic music before I purchased Fujisan but I came to listen to them and it's just amazing with these earphones. A little bit pricy but it's totally worth it. Although I've compared to beats or Bose, absolutely Telos wins.

Telos’ Fujisan IEMs, worthy of your attention and consideration
For the record, I like the Fujisan IEMs. At their price point and for their stated purpose, these IEMs deserve 5 stars. But in objective comparison on relative scale, their performance doesn’t quite stack up to “better” IEMs, but honestly, reasonably close. It may seem unfair to compare them to more expensive IEMs, but I believe that is what a starred scale (and review) like this should represent, a comparison to a broader scope of products, less and more expensive. I’ve spend a fair amount of time with these along with 3 other IEM/earbud style earphones: Apple earbuds, Shure SE535's and Shure SE846's. Additionally, I’ve compared the same using different quality music sources: an iPhone with iTunes processed music; an external DAC (capable of decoding up to 24/196 playback) using the same; and the DAC using high quality musical sources (Onkyo HF and iAudioGate iPhone apps, both capable of up to 24/196 playback) and music that can take advantage of these hardware/software combinations. Most of what I’ve said here may mean little to a lot of purchasers. I only state this to ensure understanding that these have been compared using varying quality playback, from what the average person might use to very high quality, some might say audiophile quality.First, the sound. They were very easy to drive, sensitive enough to not require any external amplification, even with the external DAC (I did try an external amp, but it didn’t improve the sound appreciably). Clean, detailed midrange and treble. Good attack and decay and presenting a good, fairly broad soundstage. The bass, while present, is not particularly deep or well controlled and sometimes a bit muddy with deep, heavy bass attacks. That said, with most music they come across as balanced, clean, accurate and most importantly, musical, especially with jazz, classical and pop music (Norah Jones sounds like a goddess). The qualification here is that this is in comparison to the Shure IEMs, costing 2-3 times their price. The Fujisan blow the Apple earbuds away. The Shures (especially the 846’s) are more detailed and accurate with better sound stage presentation (depth and breadth of the soundstage) and deep, controlled and honest bass. In other words, more musical. But then, if they did not, anyone who has purchased them has way overpaid. With the Fujisan (as with the Shures), I can appreciate the difference between the quality of musical sources/playback (24/196 decoding with a DAC). When switching sources, the difference was clear and obvious (not so with the Apple earbuds), in particular the depth and breadth of the soundstage. This suggests that the Fujisan are at least near an audiophile quality. I don’t think I’m qualified to suggest more than that. Now, to their convenience. I would never use the Shure IEMs for activity. They are intended for and work best with critical listening where you can create good sound isolation without inference from movement. The Fujisan are much less picky in that regard. They slip in/out very easily, isolate well and tolerate movement (even running) well. I don’t worry about sweating on them. They appear to be well engineered and constructed and have a very high quality feel to them including a sturdy, reinforced cable. Once you’ve installed the correct size ear tips (a range of sizes is included), they are secure with movement, creating good isolation. When traveling, they are supremely convenient and include an inline microphone and control for my iPhone’s telephone function. They work seamlessly and are comfortable for long term listening (transatlantic flights). In the spirit of full disclosure, this is my second pair of the Fujisan IEMs. I acquired my first pair as part of Telos’ Kickstarter project for the development of the Fujisan IEMs. I travel a lot for work (planes, trains and automobiles) and value a high quality and convenient IEM. I find the Shure’s to be less than ideal for this purpose and the Apple earbuds, while convenient, not in the ballpark sound quality-wise (but they were free with my iPhone). The Fujisan fit my needs in this respect perfectly. Unfortunately, while on a trip, they were inadvertently left in the setback pocket of an airplane. I was quite upset. I reached out to the Telos folks and they offered me a discount on another pair if I was willing to write a review here. They placed no conditions on the review. I assume it was their presumption that it would be a positive review considering my interest in another pair. They were right. To that end, I’ve been slow to write this review, as I wanted to ensure that the production model was equal to my early edition pair. They are. As I said at the outset, I quite like the Fujisan and would have bought a replacement without the discount Telos so generously offered me. This is a small company with a group of good folks doing what they love. Check them out[...] If you’ve read all of this, good on you. You deserve a pair of Fujisan. Make an investment in a small, deserving company if this style of IEMs fits your needs and you can appreciate the quality, not just the sound, but also the construction. They can take a beating and keep on ticking (stolen from Timex, in case you’re too young to remember).

Awesome Headphones
I'm reviewing these headphones for classical and pop music playback. For sound quality, these headphones out-class the Bose and Beats earbuds by a lot (more rich and crisp). The quality is approximate to the $500 Shure 535's. I'm going to choose these over the 535s because they are much more convenient to carry in your pocket and put on your ear.The passive sound isolation from these are better than the active noise cancellation of my $300 Samsung Level Over's.In terms of service, this company cannot be better.Overall, I would recommend these headphones for those want the best value for their money for the quality tier above Bose/Beats.
