WeldForce Welding Electrode Storage Can

Great quality does what its supposed to.

This WeldForce electrode storage tube is one of the best I have had the pleasure of using. Its constructed of a thicker than average plastic (feels and looks like ABS but I could be wrong), it has a removable divider, there's a foot on the bottom to keep it from rolling, and there is a hook of sorts to hang it on the side of a welding card (though I wouldn't hang it when its holding a full 10 pounds of electrodes).There is a molded ring on the lid that allows you to attach a cable to is so that once it's removed you won't have to worry about it getting lost if you have the other end of the cable attached either to the tube itself or to your welding cart. I can't tell you how many times I've lost lids to other Electrode Tubes due to a heavy wind gust. So this is a very welcomed feature in my eyes.While I can't tell you an exact count of just how many electrodes the tube will hold, but I can honestly say that it will hold a full 10 pounds worth. In my case, I used the WeldForce Electrode Tube to hold both 1/8 and 3/32 E7018 rods side by side without them becoming intermixed. Again, it's another welcomed feature in my eyes. The removable divider does it's job exactly as intended.I'm hopeful to see these available again as I'd like to order a few more to store my other rods as well for the other welding units I currently have in operation. These eletrode storage tubes definately set a higher standard than those offered by the big names in the welding industry. Buyers definately won't be disappointed in the quality and price of these electrode storage tubes.

These things hold a lot of rods and seal up nice. Zero complaints.

I don't have a rod oven at home, so this works out great for me to store my rods in an efficient way. I understand it's not a replacement for a rod oven, but this is loads better than keeping them in the box you buy the rods once you've opened it. I would buy this again. They used to be cheaper at Harbor Freight, but I cannot find them anymore. So it's worth the $10 to me. Also an efficient way to take rods with you on the go.I like this container better than the Hobart one, because this has a flange at the bottom that keeps it from rolling when laid down on it's side. Makes for a more efficient way to store them laying down on the shelf. Would love to see more color availability in the future.Attached are photos of this unit, as well as next to a Hobart unit (orange).The Weld Force storage can also seems just a little bit larger in capacity, which is nice so you can fit a few more rods in. It also has a molded top hole for attaching a lanyard to help keep it from getting away from you when open and in use. The easy grip sides are also much better for you especially if you have gloves on compared to the Hobart. Inside is a divider that makes it able to hold two kinds of rods separately. This is easily removable with no issues. 5 stars.

As far as durable it would probably last a while but the lid just feels cheap the threads are junky and won’t screw down straight enough to make a seal on the rubber gasket.Definitely wouldn’t want to keep low hydrogen rods in it.
