Love the sea turtle motif
The bendable straws have a weird bubbly mouth feel when sipping. I image this is because of the folds in the bendable part. I have not noticed that with the straight straws. The feel of paper on the lips will take some time to adjust to. Our family is taking on the challenge of ending plastic straw use, because 500 million plastic straws are made every day and they never go away. We will continue trying other brands also. Love the sea turtle motif!

I still like them though and they are great for keeping in ...
The straws are durable and don't get soft even in soda. The liquid does kind of flutter as it comes up the straw in a similar way it does if there is a hole in a straw. I still like them though and they are great for keeping in the car.

these are much better than the other ones that I have tried
For paper straws, these are much better than the other ones that I have tried. The straws do not dissolve in the drink and are very attractive and well made. The paper straw experience is different from using a plastic straw but once I realized how bad plastic straws are for our local environment and how many straws escape the confines of the local dump, I just couldn't justify using plastic straws. I use these at home and carry these straws in my car now to use at fast food restaurants and request "no straw please" at other restaurants.
