Well made spear point.
I heated the blade then quenched it in water to harden the metal. It works much better for penetration.

Heavily Built
This thing will get the job done! Heavy, blade is holding the edges I put on them. Came semi sharp,

Very good piece...
I just got my shipment of two of these spear heads. Upon initial inspection, I'm quite pleased with them. From the sound of them (when tapping with my knife blade) they have an excellent ring to them... this seems to me more like carbon steel, around 1045 to 1055 (just my opinion based on the tone they make when struck). These indeed have a "rough forged" appearance, which is fine by me (otherwise I would not have ordered). Once these are mounted, I'll be testing them out, but am sure they will work just fine. One part I really appreciate is that there is a pin hole in the socket of these spearheads. And, for anyone wondering, the sockets are not split. This is a solid piece. Quite well done (bear in mind...rough).

Well made

Lightweight
Thin blade, no shaft extending into the handle. The head and the haft have been welded BUTT TO BUTT, no depth to the weld. Easy Joint breakage if used as a spearhead.

Seem solid and fun for target throwing
Seems great so far, I picked up some shovel handles at home depot, they seem to fit well. Have to get a stump set up to try these out on, but looks to be fun.

Good steel
Similar to Cold Steel smithing. Obviously a taper to tip but no edges are sharpened. Sturdy material, great replica.

looks nothing like the photo
item pictured is a solid socketed beveled narrow long leaf shaped spearhead. what i got was a flat, wide, stubby spearhead with a forged socket with a big seam down the center. the whole reason i bought this was because i liked the design of the one pictured. what i got was essentially a crude spear point forged from flat bar. if thats what i thought i was getting, i would have saved 25 bucks and forged it myself.
